So, the 'League' can publicly support policies which are morally questionable to the players, but the players cannot respond? Seems like there is civil liability recourse in such a case; regardless of any 'contractual' obligations. As the League taints player's character in the minds of the public.

They should play ball and leave the culture/politics out of it.

It’s like the mlb wants people to not watch with this and the looming strike.

Every Christian MLB player should write their favorite Bible verse on their hat tonight.

As much crap as we give soccer- I haven’t seen a single dei slogan, or anything dei adjacent, in the couple of games I watched (key highlights only). Nothing on the field, nothing on their jerseys. No black national anthem. None of it. I can’t say the same for the NFL, nba, and mlb. Not gonna lie- it makes me mad.

So punish a player, but what about the Texas Rangers that don't participate at all?

They would stop the game and allow the call to prayer. They would force concessions to stop selling pork. If a Muslim player got HBP, charged the mound and stabbed the pitcher they'd arrest the pitcher.

Ever since women got into psychology/sociology and began influencing the established medical consensus - we've seen a push to the left and therefore to normalizing deviant behavior. Dig into it a bit and you'll see some connections that you probably aren't meant to see.

This is exclusive to the World Cup. It's all over the place in the English Premier League, jerseys, banners, etc.

Soccer is full of very gay things especially in the US since every mls supporter section flies a rainbow flag every match

FIFA would never push it during the World Cup. They want to promote the unifying aspects of the tournament. Not piss off a large number of the players and nations participating.

Of course, many individual leagues in western nations fully embrace the gayness. France is the only one that backed off in recent years because so many players complained.

Hey look, I’m not about to sit here and defend soccer. I didn’t see any of that. Don’t watch it enough to know. I just know, as an American growing up in the 80s and 90s – that soccer was gay. So I fully expected a barrage of alphabet material. Like I said, I only watched the key plays of two games. And I didn’t see any of that. Which is more than I can say for the NFL, NBA, and MLB. You can’t watch a single minute of any of those games without being reminded that America systemically “oppresses“ gays and blacks.

It’s less of a praise of soccer, and more of a knock on American professional sports.

I hope the players absolutely double/triple/quadruple down on this. There is virtually no way the MLB has the balls to go after players writing bible verses over pride shite. And if they do - it's going to be very, very bad for them.

MLB like the NBA is beholden to its major sponsors because both leagues pale in comparison to the NFL in terms of attendance and viewership. It’s not even close. Roger Goodell is a woke leftist and he likes to virtue signal

Looks like MLB has forgotten the Bud Lite lesson. ETA that the Texas Rangers are now the only MLB team I support.

Yea, makes no sense. If MLB feels "forced" to participate, then just do the bare minimum and make a social media post about it and move on.

Actually penalizing your players for not going along with it is peak retardedness. And none of these teams would likely do it if not for pressure from the league - because many more players would not go along with it without pressure from the league.
