Who needs lower prices when you can chop your son’s dick off, kill your baby in the third trimester, import millions of foreigners so they can get free shite, and fight endless wars around the world?

Yea the left journalist want to campaign and debate for the left not actually interview people.
JD does a great job of absolutely trucking them, and then circles back and smashes whatever point he was making and lectures them on how bad they are

I just hope he has a plan to make sure they counter the fall out of mass deportation. As if Trump wins that is a MANDATE.
The economy isn't great and being held up by the feds feeding funds to illegals to prop up apt complexes, grocery stores, etc etc. Take out millions in certain areas and their local govts will get hit hard.
That economic hit, and violent retaliation from illegals need to be high on the list of things considered and accounted for.

Energy restrictions are not why inflation exists.

Hi, Howard! You can twist, pull, wrench, pitch, yaw, push until the dawn of time. If you don’t reduce spending, drastically, then you’re a failure.

I like this guy
I wish trump could articulate his message as clearly
The tariff discussion is key. Instead of explaining that tarriffs would be used strategically on goods imported on items that we make in the US and on products that other countries unfairly levy on our products, trump says he will levy tariffs across the board! Stupid.
The left runs out and uses that stupid message against him to raise fears of inflation.
This guy understands how to use tariffs strategically. I wish trump would start articulating that better.

I met Lutnick at a meeting in NYC about 15 years ago. He's just as enthusiastic off camera. In fact he's downright funny but in a serious way and he explains things well in a way that you can understand. One thing, he loves it when you disagree with him. You don't have to agree with all he says, but he lays out good convincing arguments.
Also, he bought us all lunch

Anyway, the philosophy on tariffs is tariff what we make and don’t tariff what we don’t make.
You may as well let a 5th grader draw up our trade policy.

A couple of questions.
1. The US has produced more oil under Biden than it did under Trump. That's a fact. The two administrations have had very different public rhetoric around oil, but the bottom line is that the technological innovations in fracking since 2009 have meant that for the last three administrations, more oil was produced by each one than the former administration regardless of what the public campaign promises were. Biden currently holds the all time record for oil production (which was previously held by Trump, which was previously held by Obama). Fact. And not all of it was despite environmental efforts. He green-lighted the nation's largest drilling operation in Alaska, the Conoco-Phillips Willow Project. If you are an environmental zealot, you probably hate Biden about now.
So...why would we expect a huge difference under Trump 2.0?
2. The current Trump-Biden Tariffs have been in place since 2017. So far they have cost more American jobs than they have produced and cost Americans more in estimated higher costs and taxes than we've ever sent to Israel in aid, total, in all of our history, for those of you who are fixated on that aid (which is about half of the people reading this post). That's another fact.
And he's promising to double them this time.
When I have pointed that out in the past I have been told that the tariffs just haven't had long enough to work.
So how long will they need to work before we start seeing this return of industry to America? It's been over seven years and they're still costing us currently. When do they pay off?
When Trump started this tariff stuff I hoped he was right and he knew something that everyone else didn't. Of course, that would also have meant that Bernie Sanders did too, since they were the two who agreed on the tariffs in 2016, so I guess I should say "almost" everyone else didn't.
But so far it doesn't appear that that is the case.

It's not theoretical.
His tariffs have already been in place for several years. The effects have been evaluated on real data.
The results are not good.

Lol this dude said inflation was only caused by the Biden Covid spending
"If you don't print money you can't produce inflation," as he said.
Now discuss the printing in 2020...
Also, do we think that Trump isn't going to stop printing new money?

This has been discussed in another thread already. read it
Here's the problem. The radical left wing of the Dems who have control have been trying to STOP the permitting of lng export facilities in the US. They have also slowed construction of new refinery's as well. This is not debatable.
LINK
On his first day in office, Biden signed an Executive Order to impose a temporary moratorium on oil and gas lease activities in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, withdrew offshore areas in Arctic waters and the Bering Sea from oil and gas drilling, and revoked a key permit for the Keystone XL pipeline. In June 2021, the Biden administration went further in ANWR and suspended oil and gas leases.
In his second week in office, he signed another Order that put a “pause” on new oil and gas leasing on federal lands and offshore waters. The Biden Administration violated Congressional statute by halting all federal oil and gas lease sales – onshore and offshore – and is thereby laying the groundwork for a decline in federal production over time.

Judge Orders Biden Administration to Resume Permits for Gas Exports
President Biden had paused new natural gas export terminals to assess their effects on the climate, economy and national security. A federal judge disagreed.

Most O&G projects aren't very quick - especially talking about LNG plants or deep water platforms - the benefits we're seeing now are from work that was started 5-10 years ago. Biden's policies are hurting the next round of projects.
powerbottom is a dumbfrick commie. he does not know shite about leasing, permitting, drilling, production timelines or shite about federal or private lands or bidens comments about federal leasing.
we discussed this yesterday.
next he will say we did not have a moratorium under obama or him and biden did not shut down keystone XL!
or that dems love fossil fuels! love them so much california wants no more gasoline powered cars!
75% of oil production here comes from PRIVATE AND STATE LANDS
NOT FEDERAL

In over your head! Period. You play the numbers game just like Biden. "We created more jobs than anybody!" no you didn't. People started going back to their former jobs before covid.
This is what you do. All the time....every time when tariffs are talked about.
You TDS is off the charts every time.

In part they do. It energy restrictions in terms of foreign policy, not necessarily domestic energy policy.
Lutnick did mention money printing. But he blamed it on the doubling down of money printing by the Biden administration and Nancy Pelosi. The money printing from COVID could have been more quickly ameliorated without a doubling down on more printing and more pressure on OPEC to open the spigot...thus increasing GDP (which is the antidote to all this).

Nobody expect her to stop printing money.
Trump can't stop inflation unless he stops printing money. Will he?
