Starting with an explanation of his role within the Trump 2025 transition team, Lutnick then walks through the MAGAnomic principles enmeshed in President Trump’s economic policies. Mr. Lutnick begins the policy part by outlining how energy restrictions are driving inflation through higher costs of goods. Yes. Yes and Yes.

Then Lutnick shifts to talking about tariffs and is one of the only advisors outside the 2017 team (Robert Lighthizer, Wilbur Ross) who factually references ending the insufferable “Marshal Plan.” Again, yes, yes and YES.

Howard Lutnick gets it. The essential core of MAGAnomics. Drive down the cost of goods through expanded energy development, then leverage reciprocity in tariffs to end the exfiltration of wealth. Then cut out regulation and unleash American enterprise. This is the way to reverse this insufferable economic trajectory that creates a “service driven economy.” The entire interview is well worth watching:

As someone who has had contact with Lutnick. He should be the next Gov. of NY or mayor of NYC.

I remember his interview from September 2001. He was in management - maybe CEO/Chairman - of Cantor Fitzgerald at the time. They were above where the plane hit and they lost 2/3 of their workforce. If I remember, he was late to work because one of his children needed something. He would have been in the tower, too. It was a really moving interview.

I did not realize how the Marshal Plan put us in a bad spot for so long in terms of trade.

Anyway, the philosophy on tariffs is tariff what we make and don’t tariff what we don’t make.

Sorkin tried to play gotcha with a Project 2025 question, and Lutnick completely shut him down.

I’ve been saying this for years that when Biden first got into office and canceled the Keystone Pipeline and declared war on fossil fuels and the oil industry, oil prices started climbing and so did fuel prices.

Shortly afterwards was when inflation started and then was kicked into high gear with massive government spending and money printing.

But energy prices was the first domino.

He’s my boss

ETA: last week the company’s charity raised a bunch of money for the families of some of the victims of 9/11.

Lutnick’s company lost everyone in the NYC office. He would have been there but took his kid to school if I’m not mistaken.

He's impressive. Went from graduating college to CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald in 8 years by the founder of the company.

By the way, he's also the one who took Rumble public.

everything in our economy has to be moved by petrochemicals except sewage. Even that is loaded in NY and sent to TX for fertilizer to grow forage for livestock to slaughter and ship to Chicago so they don't starve.

Not to crap on Lutnick at all, but Trump's fiscal policies are going to be designed by the Big Money types - who have infiltrated both campaigns. People like Whitney Webb have laid this out multiple times.

When the next crisis (pre-planned of course) arrives, the canned solutions will have been developed by Big Money ahead of time and they will come at our expense, will drive more wealth inequality, and further the destruction of the nation. No one should be fooled by campaign rhetoric.

In 2008 Obama was captive to Big Money. In 2020 with COVID, Trump was captive to Big Money. In the next crisis, Big Money will drive the ship. Nothing has changed.

What Lutnick says is basically just common sense and logical and it will be a dramatic improvement on Democrat policies. But, when the crisis comes, and it will, it will be Big Money that prevails and Trump will fully endorse their course of action.

So question. Since the radical Dims used and drained the SPR for political gain and not national emergency, do we:

1. Refill when Trump brings prices down

2. Leave it empty

Its dangerous imo, to leave it empty (compared to historical levels). If we leave it empty and Dims get power in 28, they can’t use it for political gain. But we need to hope we win both 24/28 and imo need to refill it due to high world risks regardless.

These people constantly interrupting conservatives is ridiculous. Man can’t even finish a sentence. They want to drown out his speech because it wildly bucks their feebly crafted narrative.

that's it...pretty simple stuff

I would add 10yr payroll tax credits for every trackable job brought back from overseas. Small business or large business, don't matter.
