LOL.. The seals in the crowd.. So the building gets handed over to the "tenants".. Who is going to pay for the up keep? The $100,000+ roof? The electrical?.. The plumbing? and of course the TAXES... Great ideas with no thought of the outcomes...

That's how it starts. Then it morphs into: "This greedy person owns two houses and they aren't even using the second one. Should we allow someone to have two houses they can't even use when someone else doesn't even have one house to live in?"

Verbatim what Hugo Chavez did in Venezuela in the mid to late 2000s.

People lost all trust in property rights and a few years later their currency was so worthless it was blowing down the street.

This is how these nuts take over.

Get you to stop caring about New York, then Chicago then New Orleans, Then they will easily take the small towns.

He left in thing out, what if it's not the landlord that's neglecting, what if it's the loser fricking tenants?

You should look into the third party transfer program, which has been in effect in NYC since 1996 (guess who was mayor then).

Well, in order for that to take effect, you need to be able to foreclose. Who can do that and by paying off you stop the foreclosure so that does not work.

Otherwise, they can use eminent domain but must pay fair value. Do you think the city has the money to pay fair value for the property? By the time the process is halfway done, he will be out as mayor.

They are also smarter than the fricking dumbasses who just remade Animal Farm as an anticapitalist film.

Yeah, what’s your point? Look, I understand the red meat aspect of this thread, and Mamdani is obviously a retard, but despite what he may be telling people in a public speech, he can’t just seize apartments. Also, part of what he is relying on is a process that has been in place for 30 years, and yes, it has to go through the foreclosure process.

Anyway, I’ll let posters return to their regularly scheduled outrage.

In a state so corrupt that it changed its SOL law for one year to allow E Jean to bring a "Law and Order Episode" inspired total bullshite case against DJT ... where there is a will, there is a way.

There's no outrage.

I hope he succeeds beyond his wildest dreams.
