I highly doubt it.

*ETA

Oh, I see. Just those who really REALLY deserve to be taken over. OK, that sounds reasonable. Just the worst of the worst, right?

RIGHT?

What significant policy differences would a rank and file Democrat like Decatur, VOR, tboy, Hank, or aggiedub14 have with Mamdani?

I wish he'd stop talking about it and get onto doing it. The country could really use a lesson on communism from NYC.

None. The foundational platform of the Democrat party is to "take from the haves". That is the core of the soul of their beliefs.

I wonder who's going to come running to fix shite when a non-profit or "communal partnership" needs to unclog a toilet or replace a heater?

You should look into the third party transfer program, which has been in effect in NYC since 1996 (guess who was mayor then).

RIGHT?

That's how it starts. Then it morphs into: "This greedy person owns two houses and they aren't even using the second one. Should we allow someone to have two houses they can't even use when someone else doesn't even have one house to live in?"

Rent control so you can’t afford to fix up your property. Then seize it because you didn’t fix it up.

And the crazy liberals love him. I’ve seen so many comments stating their state needs one of him.

Where would a communist bastard draw the line?

Or will it keep moving down the line as they devour everyone?

Exactly. You can't raise the rent. Tenant can still keep paying the $70/month they were paying in 1976. You take the losses for decades.

Then, the same agency that can take your property, also conducts the inspection that allows them to take your property.
