Lindsey Graham left behind modest wealth despite decades in Washington’s elite circles

The senator died with a net worth of about $1.4 million, with congressional disclosures from May showing a lower-end estimate of just over $600,000 and an upper estimate of a little more than $2.2 million. Despite serving in Congress for 31 years, Graham ranked at 294th in wealth among the 535 voting members of Congress, according to data from the Quiver Quantitative.
For 71 years old a net worth of $1.4 million is kind of sad.

There’s no way they accounted for all of it. No way.

Does that include accounts in Israel and Ukraine?

Many didn't like his politics but at least it appears he wasn't getting rich of Americans.

He lived in an expensive town and had a relatively rather modest salary the whole time there. Seems like this should be the approximate net worth of a lot more of his colleagues.

Yeah
Look at his 501C3's or his campaign funds or something.

This guy started this thread thinking he would burn a dead man and really only pointed out that Graham, at least by appearances, doesn't appear to be nearly as crooked as his colleagues.

This is a strange thread.

that 1.4 plus his congressional salary/pension for the rest of his life is a pretty comfortable way to live. Much better than most.

And then you got this guy who appears to be desperate to find dirt on a dead man. Par for the course I suppose.

The article I linked says "normal" individuals between the ages of 65 and 74 have an average net worth of $1.79 million and a median net worth of $409,900.

So, Graham's net worth was below "average."

That alone made me respect him. He didn’t enrich himself like every other person in Congress does,

Also surprised me because he was so involved in the Ukraine money machine.
