Well that's just nonsense. Sure, some fruits have high carb/fructose content with minimal fiber and nutrient density, but not all of them are.

Any human that couldn’t survive off fresh meat and fat was bred out – Dr. Blake Donaldson in Strong Medicine PDF Link - old book

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that a strict carnivore diet is healthy for humans. Our lineage speaks towards the above quote. There have been times during the previous ice-age that humans struggled, and there wasn’t any broccoli around to save the day. The idea that vegetables are insanely healthy for us has been ingrained and beaten into our minds for the past 70 years based on flimsy, at best, evidence. Vegetables have been lauded over their excellent vitamin profiles and “greenness” to the Earth that society overlooked their bioavailability and our lack of cellulose break-down capabilities. Vegetables, like all plants, have self-defense mechanisms that deter animals from eating them. Those self-defense mechanisms can cause harm to our bodies. Only when one removes all plants from their diet do they understand all the aliments they have been suffering from.

Nitrates are a funny little subject. Everyone speaks against bacon because of it contains nitrates. Lets gloss over the fact that your body produces nitrates and speak on how vegetables contain the same, and sometimes more, nitrates than bacon. Chris Kressor goes into detail

No human needs to supplement vitamins when getting all of their food from animal sources. Look into Vitamin C requirements when carbohydrate is reduced to trace amounts in the diet. The inuit never got scurvy, neither did Stefansson – who went years on a meat-only diet. Do you think the Mongols thought about vitamins while on their scourge? They were also a carnivore society that took the livestock with them while on the move. Their armies of horsemen never needed supply lines for grain. Early American trappers and mountain men survived off meat, finding beaver tail a delicacy. Read their notes on what food is to them. Even early Americans through WWI were noted for their fine health, and exceptional built – it wasn’t because of America’s strong kale market…

I’ve been following the Peterson’s for some time now and am grateful she has found a cure for her issues. I believe her father, Jordan, is also hopping on the carnivore train as well. There isn’t any reason to fear a diet of all meat. It is not some “extreme” diet, just one that hasn’t been thought of in a long time. Hell, there is even a book (pamphlet really) out called The Drinking Man's Diet and you keto folks can guess as to what drinks are allowed.

I'm not shitting on the idea but it just sounds ludicrous after years of hearing how healthy plants are.

I’m watching it now. I think I unknowingly have been following this diet or at least a variation of it. Interesting stuff.

Cutting out processed carbs, white carbs and cutting substantially back on dairy will change your life for the better. Also, eating very few carbs at supper time will help you sleep better.

1. That isn't what you said.
2. Fruit sugar is digested differently than refined sugar. The fiber content, prebiotics, and polyphenols are all beneficial and a present in varying degrees in different fruits.

Rogan has several great podcasts on the subject. My favorite is #1037 with Chris Kresser. I also liked the one with Mark Sisson. There’s also a decent doc on Netflix right now called The Magic Pill.

There's a bunch of pseudoscientific nonsense in that documentary, so take it with a grain of salt. It's almost like a food version of What the Bleep Do We Know!?

and potato starch causes even more of a glucose spike than pure sugar but its all toxic IMO.

ask a diabetic how much fruit they eat.

Well, it sounds like you have your mind made up. But you should probably broaden your horizons a little.
