my I'm EATING UNTIL I CANT MOVE moments are typically popeyes (maybe once a year), homemade ice cream or johnnys pizza if i'm in LA.
Yum! Speaking of, it's weird too the difference in being full from eating this way compared to eating normal. I don't have that Kool Aid man busting thru the wall waddle feeling now, where your whole body feels heavy and starches puffing you up feeling.
There's a docu on Netflix called The Magic Pill (or just magic pill or a magic pill?) that I stumbled upon a couple of weeks ago- it's all about the keto diet. The business I'm in, that my family is in, directly and indirectly is in agriculture so I felt a bit like a traitor watching it as it was pretty negative about modern day farming techniques.

I did this for about six months a decade ago. Lost 30 pounds, felt great, had a good golf game, etc.., then got lazy about because of business travel, kids, etc..
Then, five years ago, we had a contest at work. $100 each. Winner take all. Most loss by percentage. There were 24 of us that entered. We had a sales meeting and all weighed in and recorded the weight. Four months later we all met for a trade show and were to weigh in that morning. I forgot about it and ate a banana and had a cup of coffee before the meeting. We walk in and weigh. I had lost 24 pounds and a few ounces, but I lost the contest to someone that had lost 22 pounds and a few ounces by .14%. Had I not eaten that banana or had the coffee, I'd have taken the prize.
Been upping my exercise lately to lose weight, and it just goes back and forth. No real loss, so I'm going back on this immediately.

I started eating only meat around twelve and drove my parents crazy. Not sure why, we always hunted and almost always cooked what we killed. I'd eat 3 or 4 big pieces of meat every night. Through high school I played sports, worked out and hunted year round and would eat one meal of meat a day. I started eating trash my freshman year of college and put on a good 40 lbs. Started eating a normal nutritious diet and felt like shite, didn't lose weight and stayed pissed off and hungry. So I went back to meat only and lost the weight and I'm not hungry. I'd read that every person needs a different diet so I assumed I had the rare meat only personal plan, turns out I was on to something
i mean, i get that meat meat meat can get boring but you know what doesn't get boring? getting to eat AS MUCH AS I WANT and eating tasty shite like steaks, burgers, oven-baked chicken, salmon, pork loin.. so i never feel deprived or get frustrated from a diet that limits how much you can eat.
i'm a guy, i live to eat alot. its not going to kill me to direct my eating-machine addiction in a positive direction so it doesn't make me fat.

Even our diets are ideological now.
Anyone whose gone down the keto/paleo path knows the benefits that go well beyond weight loss...carbs and sugar are poison.

just got back on the wagon yesterday. lots of steak incoming!
meat, veg, cheese, nuts, apples. medium or long chain fats so avocado oil, olive oil, coconut oil, etc.
I'm doing something similar
No grains, focus on meat and healthy fats with moderate carbs from fruits and vegetables
Only things excluded are grains and anything with added sugar

oh so you're basically just buying pork belly? that's different. my bad (But you have to admit that's rare)
You can get uncured bacon in some grocery stores
I know the Sprouts by my house sells it

slo is overestimating the negative impact of bacon. its way better to put a little bacon grease into your system than a chocolate filled donut.

I’m pretty sure that green, leafy vegetables are still good for most of us.
You'd be right. They have good anti-inflammatory benefits.
And they're also compatible with LCHF eating.

I dropped about 16 pounds in a little over a month on keto. Just had my appendix removed and has set me back a bit since I am inactive for a few weeks, but I'm still loving the diet. I've tried other diets and realized my biggest issue is not necessarily portion size, but taste. I would rather eat a smaller meal that tastes good, than a large one that is bland.

SO you just did meat and veggies with no carbs?
This is the best video concerning ketosis that I've seen. Great guy, MD, who presents everything you need to know.

My rule is don't eat it if it did not grow in the ground or have a mother.
