Jordan no longer has digestive issues, mild psoriasis, mouth ulcers, fatigue, depression or difficulty maintaining a healthy weight. Both father and daughter are off all medication.

Despite this, many health experts still believe the pair are doing themselves more harm than good.

I have a diet pretty close to this as well. There is definitely an adjustment period of a week or two at first, but after that it's pretty amazing.

Saying bye to sugar and fake processed garbage completely changes the way you feel after the adjustment period.

God forbid anybody live a healthy life if they’re on the other side of the aisle.

The Mrs. and I are probably about 80% Whole 30 (cheese and wine are my two non-negotiables). Cheap, crappy food may be credited with solving world hunger, but it has created innumerable other problems, particularly amongst minority and rural communities in the U.S.

A wholly carnivorous diet

This is a new one to me...

Can someone, perhaps with personal experience, expound on this?

So literally just meat? Not even fruits or vegetables? I'd imagine you'd have to at least take vitamins or other dietary supplements.

changed my life, literally.

I stopped having sleep apnea, allergies that made it hard to breathe at night without wheezing, excess weight gain and cured my acid reflux after chewing through half a bottle of Tums every day.

Who knew fresh meat and vegetables is better for you than frosted flakes and pasta?

why not just eat spoonfuls of sugar out of the bag? Same effect on your body.

Nothing plant based basically. Depending on activity lvl most people eat 2-3lbs of meat daily. No veggies, no fruit.

And no, no fiber is needed so they aren't chugging metamucil lol.

It has a huge Facebook following, lookup world carnivore tribe, or principia Carnivora. People have been eating this way for a long time.

I just did Keto (LCHF) for a month. I did not like it. You cannot have fruit, bread or rice. You have to watch how many carbs you're eating.

Some people eat to live; I live to eat. I love a variety of foods and Keto was too limiting. I lost 7 lbs in a month but I was miserable.

I'm going back to Paleo...no processed foods. It's about eating food that are good for you and don't contain a lot of processed sugars.

This is a very extreme version of the keto diet. Yes they would need vitamins and supplements to go along with this.

The more widely used version is to completely eliminate sugar and lower your carbs to almost nothing. Vegetables are fine. Fruit not so much. Fruit tends to act sort of like sugar in the body. It's okay in small amounts but can't be a daily thing.

You want to eat a lot of fat. Good fat like bacon and other meats. You then want protien. Take some vitamins to round out anything you're missing.

I eat a lot of bacon, eggs, steak, cheeseburger with no bun.

The hardest part of the diet is that most of the stuff you can eat requires some prep work. I usually cook up a bunch of stuff on Sunday and ear leftovers all week.

This is probably a legitimate concern, if you're advocating for the whole world to get on this diet.

Takes a lot of land, forage, and water to produce meat.

well i never got full keto

i was more building an eating scheme built around nutrient-dense foods to satiate me while limiting carbs

apples are very dense and fill me up after a meal, and if i have that post-protein sugar need, they satisfy that

i'm going to go pretty low carb to get my body to stop craving it and then i'm going to add in some nutrient dense foods with carbs that have ancillary benefits, like black beans and greek yogurt (i'll add berries to that)
