Right you are

This approach is in line with the grand expirement that is called evolution/nature. This is the template of eating we evolved in (natural fats/food (animal and plant based).

Ask yourself how and why he we have become so confused...
If you dig into it, you find the power of idealogues (who want to be right at all costs), politcal hubris, and $$$$...

Meh. Some of the healthiest, longest living people on the planet rely carbohydrates as a staple of their diet (the people of Okinawa). Diet isn't that simple.

And it’s not some strict diet. It’s very easy to shop for and stick to even when you’re eating out.

exactly

also, we evolved from hunter gatherers into society with the introduction of agriculture (of wheat primarily)

bread isn't a bad thing or else it would have never triggered such an amazing journey. bleached grains that have simple sugars injected into them for flavor? that's a bad thing

Did I villify carbs in my statement above?

Agree. It is a multifactorial issue, but diet is a huge force multiplier

Again, eating based on your genentic lineage reflects what eating template will work for you.

This is not politically expedient for some to accept...

The only reason you posted that is because the Illuminati pulled the lever that triggered the chip in your brain to see conspiratorial patterns in everything. Without your paranoia on display the world wouldn’t seem real to us and we wouldn’t blow our money on consumer products. Follow the money!!!

Not if you let the potato cool to room temp after cooking.

Meh, the people of Okinawa, the actual people who lived the longest, their diet consisted heavy on pork. Only after WWII did their diet change, and their longevity start changing. Within a generation their lifespans differed little than the rest of Japan.

And? Carbohydrates were still a staple of their diet, like I said.

They were eating rice and they were eating purple sweet potato. Granted they ate less rice than the rest of Japan, but they still ate it.

I gotta a question for you dieters. What happens when you get hungry? Does it cause a pain in the stomach? Headache? Anxiety?

I've never been overweight and I've never been on a diet. I don't get hungry. I get weak. So, I eat by the clock anticipating activity to avoid weakness.

IE, if I'm playing the 12th hole at 9 a.m. and feel weak I remember... "Damn, I haven't eaten anything
since yesterday at 3 pm."

What is your actual physical symptom when hunger hits?

No, you came from the nonsensical bluezone bullshite notion where they want to say Okinawans are vegetarians which is why they live longer, clearly these people get half of their intake from meat. on trying to take me out of context.

_________

quote:

Eating meat was not stigmatised, and consumption of pork and goat was historically high. It was e~ceptional among Japanese food consumption.

The bluezone was a lie, these people loved pork.

What the frick are you even talking about? What is blue zone? I never said anything about their meat consumption, so maybe you should pay attention to who you’re talking to.

You tried to claim that carbs were not a staple of the Okinawa diet and cited an article that showed that to be false. How is that taking you out of context?

Blue Zones

Don't act like you've never heard of it.

Well, one can say that a staple to mean more than the rest. The article clearly states that it is not the case.

I have literally never heard of it. Point out one post in this thread that supports the view that I was claiming the people of Okinawa didn’t eat meat or were living longer due to a vegetarian diet.

And the figure clearly shows that it is the case, in terms of grams. Even if it wasn’t the case, they still ate/eat carbs every day and that’s literally the only relevant point.
