Adelson tried, and failed, to get gambling legalized in Texas IIRC.

She was probably throwing money at every legislator possible to try and get it through because of what the upside would be for her financially.

He doesn't have to.

Anti-BDS Legislation: Paxton is an aggressive defender of state laws that prohibit the government from doing business with companies that boycott Israel. He has frequently intervened in lawsuits to defend Texas’s anti-boycott laws and supported similar measures in other states, framing them as non-discrimination policies

Investigating Anti-Semitism on Campus: He has targeted perceived anti-Israel sentiment within Texas's public education system. For instance, his office launched an investigation into the Plano Independent School District over allegations of allowing "radical anti-Israel rhetoric" and sponsored pro-Palestinian walkouts, warning that such environments facilitate anti-Semitism

Opposition to Iran: Paxton heavily supports U.S. and Israeli military strikes against Iran, describing the Iranian regime as a massive threat to the United States and our allies

The headline seems intentionally misleading.

It says “a group funded by adelson was the biggest donor…”

Adelson is very tight with Trump

No doubt some of this big donor money is intentionally targeted towards the bigger goal of growing the civil divide and weakening the U.S. to the point of collapse.

Zero doubt.

I love how there's like 4 different flavors of cope in this thread. "She's just funding a sure loser, derp!"

Talarico is pro gambling in Texas. Adelson sets to profit off gambling being legalized.

Not super hard to understand here.

Which specific votes did you disagree with?

What is the heritage of Adelson? Are you saying she does not want Paxton for the same reason she did not want Massey?

I'll bet you a couple of freshly minted $250 dollar bills that's not going to keep any Democrats from voting for the wunderkind Talarico this fall.

But the simplest, boring answer doesn’t encourage clicks and foster anger, hate, fear, etc.

Oh please. The Dems were all contributing to Massie's campaign. They wanted him to beat Trump so badly.... United by TDS.
