I’ve been in the U.S. ILLEGALLY since 1989, so F.U. change your laws and make me legal now

and by the way, I won’t speak English even though I own a house and a business here in the U.S. Also, if you don’t understand my Spanish, my friend here is going to shout very loudly what I just said in English. .

So why wasn’t she deported?
Does she work? Does she pay taxes? Does she receive welfare?
If so, she should be put in prison and forced to work back every single dollar she has stolen from American taxpayers.

If you move to another country, whether illegally or not, why wouldn't you want to assimilate enough to at least learn the language after over three dozen years? If you're here illegally, you should want to do that to at least lessen your chances of being found out and deported.

Eh, I'm not so sure. I'm well to the left of most Politards and I don't feel sorry for her. Even if she snuck in she's had 37 years to learn English and find a path to citizenship.

Its the same issue I brought up in the temporary status thread. TPS has to be renewed every 18 months. We have some that have been here 26 years, several presidents have signed off 17 times to renew their status. They now have anchor grandbabies.
It very bad optics JUST like Iran and yet it HAS to be done.
And everyone will point to OMB, when all the previous presidents kicked the can down the road, as they drag out these old latin grandmas.
