Govt sees it as free money, and as soon as they vote to take it, it is spent and GONE

Isn't bait and switch illegal?

Rules for thee but not for me.

Seems like if you have halfway to retirement, termination of the plan should require compensation for what has already been earned.

Seattle has a hag for a mayor. Wasn’t Washington the state that has like 10 red counties that want to join Idaho

They shouldn't be allowed to do this.

No they shouldn’t. Most private pensions are protected by PBGC insurance up to $7200 per month I think. The company I work for is insured with this Government insurance which is similar to FICA. I would think state government programs would have something similar. These people earned those pensions and are due payment. Going forward with new hires maybe so, but folks already in the plan should be paid.

This is the correct answer, and this is why conservatism is so superior to populism.

Government pension plans are the opposite of conservative.

I hope that is not legal. Unreal.

It’s legal. Dems saw that overfunded plan and knew they need that money to spend on layabout do nothings to buy votes for their communist agenda.

They keep showing us exactly who they are but not enough people pay attention or care.

They'd rather spend money on free needles for homeless junky scumbags than pay what they promised to people who worked their asses off, putting their life on the line.

Taking away first responders retirement to funnel it into some bs climate change account and other liberal bs waste.

You voted for team thief.

The firefighters were dumb enough to vote communist.

In the event of a sizable market correction, those guys were largely covered.

Now?

They chose poorly.

Well, I got this years big music gear trades and orders done just in time. At least I’ll get to enjoy the new gear for a little bit before we all die.
