Far from it. He was 3rd in line behind Gavin and Strechin for the most authoritarian govs during Covid. Gavin and Strechin were 1 and 2 in line due to their loyalty but got ditched for Heels.

Andy is looking to improve his stock and take pole position for 2028.

If go by popular vote, wouldn't you need a majority, >50%, to win?
You'd have a runoff rather frequently, I'd imagine

Someone explain his reasoning. Without the EC no politician would ever need to care what Kentucky voters think......ever.

That explains modern America in a nutshell.

The fricking state that makes the majority of the world’s bourbon, of all things, is headed by a little bitch that hates America.

What's up with Red States electing Blue Govs? Do Blue States ever elect Red Govs?

His quote indicates he wants it yet the article says he does not. Makes no damn sense!

If Trump wins the popular vote this election you will never hear this mentioned again.

Well, we screwed up the Senate, so it wouldn’t surprise me if we eventually screw up the Electoral College.

Of course, they want to ban electoral college. The popular vote is a guaranteed win for them. If it went to just popular vote, my vote wouldn’t matter. San Francisco, LA, NYC, Chicago would determine the president and states like mine wouldn’t matter.

If you're a resident of Georgia -- you might want to think twice before throwing stones at another state for electing Democrats.

Being a modern day Democrat requires constant shucking and jiving over what they really believe and really want.

KY is among the reddest of states; Trump will carry by 15+. The party leadership on both sides know this. The election is hardly happening in this state.

The electoral college is going nowhere. Any Dem with an IQ north of 60 knows that. So it's something to whine about while knowing expectations of actually doing something are 0.

This is his blatant attempt at upward mobility in the Dem party. "Please accept me so I can move out of Frankfort and join your DC cocktail parties".

Does this doofus not understand that the EC enfranchises rural America?

Without it a candidate would only have to campaign in Houston, LA, NYC, and Chicago to win.

no....he absolutely understands this. That's why he wants to abolish it.

I’m perfectly fine with any state that wants this seceding from the union to form one that does.

Off the top of my head, didn't Maryland vote in Larry Hogan to two terms as MD governor?

For the sake of context, Maryland is as bright blue as they come.

I didn't understand. We cant say we want succeed from a failing union without being called a traitor but we can openly desire to discard the foundations that make us a great union to applause
