Would not necessarily disagree, but the US is in a tight position to maneuver. You have three....maybe 4 options and none of them is good.
Continue with conventional bombing - thus far limited effectveness.....yeah you killed their previous leader, but the guy in charge is just the same.
Prepare for a ground invasion at the Strait itself and bog yourself down because at most you can probably go 25 miles inland.
Tactical nukes....which opens up a big can of worms
Special forces and long term guerilla style warfare inside of Iran.
None of these is good. The least bad would be to continue on the bombing campaign. But that won't get you capitulation, see Vietnam

One of the things Iran is demanding is that nobody attacks Lebanon. Israel attacks Lebanon every time peace gets close.

Israel is not attacking Lebanon they are attacking Hezbollah who has taken Lebanon hostage in Lebanon.
