At 18, I was conservative....did not know what it meant, but it was how I felt.
I recall LSU free speech alley on Fridays.....bunch of lunatic hippies and I knew I was not in that camp.

I would not be surprised to find out that a sizable portion of those Dems are DSA members as well.

I voted in my first election at 20 for Anderson mostly because I was idealistic I guess and rejecting both parties. By 24 I realized that was a mistake and voted for Reagan.
Have voted AGAINST demoncrats by voting for republicans in every election ever since.
To vote for ANY democrat nowadays is literally treasonous imo.

What happened to the Yuppie? The kids that came after hippie. I was a yuppie. We were trying to be successful so we could get laid. The guys making the big bucks got the hot chics. We couldn't afford much either. Interest rates were 12% when I got out of college in 1983. I was an aerospace engineer and made $15/hr. I couldn't buy a house. I bought a condo for $45,000 and lost money when I sold it 5 years later.
Things are more affordable now than then. Its just a matter of perspective.

i would be exactly the opposite. I fricking hated the gay shite back then even more than now as far as tolerance of it. Still hate it but not as much as back then.

I haven’t seen a check from the Feds since the early 90’s, and that was the GI Bill (which you think everyone should get, but not, you know…GI’s).
