I know two multi millionaires that worked multiple jobs throughout college and primarily so their parents didn’t lose the shitty janitorial business they had because the grandfather had a bad alcohol problem.
No excuses. Work harder. Now they don’t have to work.

My daughter is 21 and conservative. This has more to do with social values than anything else. She doesn’t really like Trump as a person, although she did vote for him.

Ironic that with the struggles of young people today they would support a party that wants to take more from them in taxes and conditions them to the thought that taxes are good. The left is for abortion and for “taxing the rich”, which appeals to young folk but they are also aligned with or directly support open borders and have an arm of their party that is democratic socialist/communist. That’s what they are aligning themselves with for the future.

Youngs should seek out the stories of the citizens who lived behind the iron curtain. People in the west who were around when the wall came down saw stories live and in color as journalists made their way there and allowed the people to tell their horror stories to audiences in the west.

I would say that it's because of upbringing and being taught right from wrong. For our generations, we heard our parents, guardians, and older family talking politics. And we picked up on it.

Gen X, and I remember the late grade school teachers starting us out on how to balance checkbooks. And starting to teach us about not getting into debt with credit cards.
They ramped that up in junior and senior high.
While I absolutely do not believe that school should be the substitute for parenting, they at least did start us out, back then.
Now? They don't even teach kids to read and write properly, and math? Math is racist.

I have 3 kids in their 20's everyone of them is conservative and see the dumbass Democrats doing stupid shite. Raise them right and they see the truth with their own eyes and use Common Sense daily.

Idk my kid is 26 and not a Dimocrat in any sense. Upbringing from parents is what matters you are not born with opinions, your opinions on things are either taught to you or formed/learned in one way or the other due to your life experiences.

But I disagree.
It's called reward for serving the country. And here, it's a choice, an elective. My Korean step-father didn't have that choice in S. Korea, (mandated service for military age men) and their pensions are not what the American ones are.

Here's why I'm pessimistic...the natural state of govt is to grow it's size, regulations and power in areas it used to just leave alone to free choices. The cost of govt grows as does the number of people who are govt workers.
It has NEVER decreased. A hundred years from now the U.S. govt will have way more regulations on a citizen's life than they do now. We'll be dead but I can't see how the trend would reverse itself. When govt is in total control it will be a lot like communism without the official name.

I have several in-laws that work at the local Ford plant. Cost of cars has nothing to do with government. It's the insanely absurd high wages paid to upper management and VIPs that drives the prices of cars up so high.
