You’re suggesting it shouldn’t matter that someone has to work 3 jobs to afford rent because they can scroll TikTok.

You need to learn how to read.

Proud there are still some great young men coming up. We will need you and your friends to step up and lead.

I can read. Our parents also enjoyed the best quality of life known to man when they were starting families.
This whole argument excusing insane housing prices and stagnant wages because we had internet and cell phones at 25 and our parents didn’t is absurd.

They probably should have just been born a Trump instead. Idiots.

Education, houses and cars cost a fortune. It wasn't like that when I was a young man.
I could not afford any of the above.
So, I joined the military.
I banked 75% of my salary. They fed me, housed me (a bunk), clothed me, and provided medical and dental services.
Afterwards, the GI Bill beloved me out with college costs (a “commuter school,” but a degree nonetheless). I still had to work full time in order to pay my rent etc. Shortly after graduation , I was hired within my profession.
Turns out that a veteran with a degree and a work ethic is sought after.
I used what I had saved towards my first home purchase (with a VA loan no less).
Now I am retired.
The pathway I laid out above still exists, someone just has to put forth the effort in order to make it happen.
Lastly (or rather…firstly), this was what I had always intended to do.
My grandfathers both served, as did my father. Serving our country was my honor and privilege.
I would gladly do it again, without hesitation.

Sounds a lot like socialism. You worked for the government and they provided for all your needs. Coincidentally, conservatives don’t want other people to work for the government. I guess only you are allowed to reap the benefits.

Well, yeah. I never said otherwise.

What’s the relevance of pointing out that every generation enjoys a better quality of life due to technological advancements?

An added benefit could be being yanked from your bed, sent to a hell hole, and being shot at.
But thanks for shitting on those that served.
It says a lot about you.

Of course you would stoop to lying.
Conservatives simply want those folks that work for the government to actually…work.
ETA…
Yet another example of when you are patently wrong and will undoubtedly refuse to apologize.
You are a sad, pathetic human being.

You can't help yourself.
How about comment on something I've posted without adding anything on my behalf, and then I'll have something to respond to.

Does Auburn teach a course on "Rationalizing Life As A Loser"?
Twenty-five year olds were socialized by parents, peers, and others. This is the stage of development that creates belief systems. It's not about maturity.

The current generation does not have an easy go of it. Education, houses and cars cost a fortune.
I’m in my late 50s now. I’m looking at buying a new car now and I’m surprised by the price.
But when I control for inflation, the current premium car is the same price that we paid for my wife’s top model Nissan Armada that we bought in 2004.
I’ve bought only 3 cars since 1992. All have been around the same price for comparable models, controlling for inflation.
Are you bitching about the cost of vehicles now compared to 40-50 years ago? If so, notice that most of that aggregated data is due to buyer preferences now favoring trucks and SUVs. LINK
Vehicles only cost more when buyers are getting more.

If you're 25 you have very little meaningful memory of the Bush administration. The Dims have been in charge 12 of the last 18 years. You want more of the same?

Not if you were informed. I subscribed to Newsweek at 16 yrs old. Read the newspaper front to back. A teen political junkie, I was the first registered Republican in a family of blue dog Democrats. Cast my first presidential vote for Reagan at the age of 19. Changed to independent when the GOP kept promising to stop the Obama agenda but rolled over at every turn. Even back then Democrats were creeping toward socialism while outwardly repudiating it. Now they are proudly steamrolling toward communism. No informed, intelligent 25 yr old should want to be a Democrat.
