Apparently what you do with the knee pads leads to memory loss or is it willful blindness

This Iran conflict is absolutely a betrayal of campaign promises and the base.

How long do you allow a threat to go on before you take action to stop it? Attacking a country always must be an option, because bad actors will know they can push you around if they don't fear you might use it.

I understand this. However, assuming the reports coming from Iran were true. And Iran was at or near nuclear weapon grade enrichment, regardless of who POTUS is, do we allow a terrorist nation, who uses the Houthis, Hezbollah, etc... to do their bidding, a nuclear weapon? Play it out long term. We did nothing, and now Iran has a nuke. The same Iran who has directed it's proxies at treaty nations. The same Iran that captured a US military vessel and held it's soldiers hostage. Do you think Iran with a nuke would be less problematic? Do you think they would stop at 1 nuke? Do you think they woulnd't supply their proxies with nukes? Eventually, we would be drug into this war no matter what. Do you think it more prudent to stop Iran now, or wait until they are fully armed to have to step in?

The reports now aren’t any different than 18 months ago when Trump said Kamala would immediately get us into conflict with Iran. Was Kamala right and trump wrong then?

Iran literally went to the negotiating table stating they had enough material for 11 nukes. Try again.

No, they didn't. One Trump official claimed this in an informal setting where he wouldn't be scrutinized, AFTER Trump started bombing Iran. It's unprovable bullshite and I think you know that.

They were though.
Yes, they are in a forever state of almost nukes, for over 30 years.

This is exactly what I voted for. I wanted President Trump to take on Iran so we don't have to fear them attacking us one day.

I never thought that. I know Trump just says shite, especially when he’s campaigning.

It’s MAGA who believed him.

Laugh all you want. Ignore that a LARGE percentage of Trump support began in 2015 when he was openly critical of the Iraq War. Those supporters continued to believe in his view of taking care of American problems first, and again voted for him when he promised to end the Ukraine farce on day one.

In SHORT, you did vote for this because he was clear...... that's all on you.
I’m not a Trump supporter at all and I actually agree with this. By 2024 Trump had already been president for four years and spent another four years dominating the news cycle. His behavior, priorities, and governing style were about as well documented as any politician in modern history. Nobody voting for him then was doing it blind.

So for the people now posting ‘this isn’t what I voted for,’ I’m genuinely curious. What specific thing has he done that actually surprised you?

This exactly. This was known by 2024.

A few things.

1) you didn't answer any questions i asked.
2) I don't recall Trump saying this. Could you provide a link, please.
3) Do you really want to compare a Trump military response to a Harris response? We saw the results of the Biden/Harris military interactions. They were complete blunders and tragedies all around. We've also seen the Trump military action. These are not the same. Answer honestly, who would you rather in charge of our military? Trump or Harris?

o no no. Say what he REALLY was critical about and how he stated what he would have done.

He talked about the never ending war in Iraq and the amount of money spent. At the same time, he was saying he would 100% keep Iran from nukes and bomb them back to the "stone age".

I've got Trump saying that he, if elected, won't let Iran get nuclear weapons back in 2015.

Trump’s diplomatic failings pursuant to the optics of this are the reason we are here.

JCPOA wasn’t perfect (expiring terms mainly), but it was effective.

Trump loyalists have to rewrite history to make an argument here.

Enriched uranium has uses outside of weapons & 3.5% was not remotely close to weapons grade. Now, we will never strike another deal with them because we have proven we won’t hold up our end.

Entire scenario is an unmitigated diplomatic disaster, pulling defeat from the jaws of victory.

How is it a betrayal, exactly? Trump has campaigned against the senseless never ending wars in the middle east.

Do you kids not remember his 1st term? Teaming with Russia and the Kurds to topple the ISIS caliphate?

Strikes on Syrian in 2017 and 2018?

Taking out the Soleimani? The austere religious scholar al-Baghdadi?

Why does kinetic military action=war?
