Why does kinetic military action=war?

Because the media is painting it as all-out war, when it isn't. I mentioned earlier about lack of troop/equipment and support buildup that typically precedes a land invasion, and all it got was 2 downvotes and no comments or rebuttals.

I've got Trump saying that he, if elected, won't let Iran get nuclear weapons back in 2015.

I've also got Trump saying in 2025 Iran's nuclear facilities were obliterated.

He also promised repeatedly, no new wars. Thats actually what he campaigned on. War isnt the only way to prevent them from having nukes anyways , so nice try but trump did in fact go against his campaign promises

This is a good example of the weakness of conservatives. Trump negotiated with Iran for years, and they refused to give up pursuit of nuclear weapons.

People like you just say, "oh well, there's nothing we can do. We just have to let Iran be a menace to every country in the world because they refused to negotiate."

That is a stupid mentality. Why even try to negotiate if we aren't going to back it up?

You people literally think Trump should be able to talk zealots out of pursuing their end times scenario, and that if we can't, then we just do nothing.

Let's play out your scenario. Iran says they will pursue a nuke no matter what. The US tucks their tail between their legs and heads home like you want. How do you think future negotiations with even more powerful countries like China and Russia will go after that?

Your philosophy will lead to a neutered America.

And people wonder how we got so many useless Republicans in congress.

And you won't, either. BC anyone that has listened to Trump or was paying attention during his 1st term should know that he denounced the never ending wars but wasn't above standing on business when the situation called for it.

No, they are at 60% now.

Under JCPOA they were at 3.5% enrichment AND they had to ship out 95% of their stockpile.

This highlights a lot of the shenanigans pulled around that. Language is NSFW. I think a lot of people on here who criticize JCPOA would actually agree with the conclusion. It was ripped up for reasons not related to nuclear ambitions, like ballistic missiles.

100% Israel didn’t like it.

So we back out of the first diplomatic agreement with Iran in 35 or so years, undermining our own diplomatic integrity, and accelerating their nuclear capability.

After we revert back to sanctions & Iran starts breaching the lame duck agreement, we assasinate soleimani & the temperature is back to boiling.

Now here we are.

And people want to pretend this was unavoidable lol.

Yes they are. Iran admitted they had enough material to make 10 nukes.

Why do we need foreign military base if our military is only to be used for defense?

Don't foreign military bases help allow future presidents to start future wars?

Your point is valid. If we would not engage militarily in a foreign war NO MATTER WHAT, then it would be illogical to keep the bases.
