November 10, 2011 — Video statement from Trump’s office
Trump said:
“I would never take the military card off the table… it’s possible that it will have to be used, because Iran cannot have nuclear weapons."
February 2012 — Public remarks about Iran negotiations
Trump said Iran would negotiate because they knew:
the United States could “blow them away to the Stone Age.”
September 5, 2013
“While everyone is waiting and prepared for us to attack Syria, maybe we should knock the hell out of Iran and their nuclear capabilities?”
Trump authorized the 2020 strike that killed Qasem Soleimani
You all are just like the media. Taking it out of context. It's dishonest and it makes people think you are nothing more than the usual never Trumpers that you have always been.

Oh, so as long as it's over in 20 years we're all good,
How the hell you ever got that out of what was stated is a awesome thing to behold.

Some people want an outcome but not the process required.
They might want a crackdown on immigration but don’t like masked armed government agents going door to door asking for papers with no-knock raids.
Someone might desire infrastructure improvements, but not want to see their entire neighborhood bulldozed for the approach of a new bridge.
Someone might want to lose weight but be unwilling to completely change their diet and commit to hours and hours of exercise while feeling constantly hungry for months at a time.
Some might desire a peaceful, western, non-nuclear democratic Iran that supports human rights for its people, but not desire a ten year bloody sectarian civil war/military occupation proxy war to get it.
“Freeing” Iran could be a huge long term benefit, but it could also be a massive headache and extremely painful and costly for a long time.

You have been struggling with deportation since day one.
Did you think Trump wasn't going to deport people? If so, that's on you.
But I don't think anyone that cries so much about deportations would have voted Trump. You are either a retard, or a liar. Take your pick.

I understand this. However, assuming the reports coming from Iran were true. And Iran was at or near nuclear weapon grade enrichment, regardless of who POTUS is, do we allow a terrorist nation, who uses the Houthis, Hezbollah, etc... to do their bidding, a nuclear weapon?
According to the Whitehouse, Iran's nuclear program was ended in June 2025...LINK

I don't oppose the current Iran operations. But if you don't at least some skepticism at this point, what will it take?

You should see what I just posted in the deportations thread.
Receipts are about Iran/foreign intervention/regime change wars/middle east.

But is it inaccurate? You and I and everyone can play armchair quarterback and say, "but i thought we werent' getting into foreign wars". You can think that all you want, but when you are the actual quarterback, and you are the one handed the information that Iran is at 60% enrichment and has never stopped enriching to nuclear grade, even after you killed Solomenei and bombed 3 of their nuclear sites, you don't have the luxury to say, "i know Iran is about to have a nuke, but at some point during my campaign, i said i wouldnt' get involved in a war in the ME." Reality hits harder than campaign speeches. Futhermore, as pointed out by bcreed1, Trump never stated he wouldnt hit Iran, and actually stated many times that he would.
But, regardless of campaign speeches, play out the option you prefer, logically. Not the imaginary "what if" scenario, that the US never got into foreign wars and global politics. That pandora's box was opened over 100 years ago. Go in your time machine, and go back to January 2025, and let's say we don't interfere with Iran at all. Now jump in that time machine and fast forward to the year 2035, then 2045. Do you think the world would be in a better or worse place than the result of our action today?
Posted on 3/12/26 at 10:20 am to BCreed1
The most common observation about Trump was that he doesn't have a core philosophy aside from enriching his family. I knew this 2nd term was dangerous bc he doesn't have to worry about running again.

What are you trying to say here? Are you saying the presence of a military base in a country invites an attack?
No. I'm asking you which nations would attack us but dont because we have military bases in their country.
You said these military bases are deterrents. I'm asking you who they are deterring.

“This isn’t like Iraq…” Okay, then why is everything from the excuses to the propaganda to the timelines virtually identical to Iraq? I don’t want another Iraq War.

Again, issue with comprehension. Trump has always stated that we should not be in NEVER ENDING WARS and that is the context of that.

Again, lack of comprehension.
Destroying those does not mean that they had not already processed uranium.
When you go to the table and say we have enough for 11 nukes.... It's over.
That's on THEM.
