A Kennedy endorsing a Republican... His siblings just about fainted on social media.
There are a lot of old school Dems who would follow a Kennedy to Hell and back...

Taking about how environmental pollution from industry is the #1 threat to the US?
That's what Trump promised him to get the endorsement.
It a total sell out of the republican platform, but whatever... winning is more important than values
It’s just as likely that he doesn’t end up over HHS as he does. Nobody what Trump has “promised” anyone, if anything at all. So that conversation is pure speculation at this point.
And even if he were to end up in that position, as a cabinet member you don’t simply get to initiate and implement your own personal agenda as you see fit. Sure, the President hears the advice and counsel of the various secretaries, but President makes all final decisions and sets forth his own platforms and priorities, for which the secretary’s duty is to implement said policies/platform. Trump’s very open and up front policy and well known tagline of “drill baby drill!!” ain’t going anywhere.
And last but not least, you can’t implement any of your agenda that you as a candidate believe is the solution to so many various problems and issues, not even a little bit……if you don’t first win. So yes, winning is the most important goal right up front.

Yeah, it's because the Dem machine had done everything it could to silence him and make him quit.
He wanted to pull the reins in on the Dem deep dive into socialism/communism/endless wars, but they weren't having it. They are all in on the craziness, and he is about to help make them pay.
He has already said he doesn't care what this may do to him personally, so the gloves will be off till November.
Get your popcorn ready.

Which is why he wielded so much power in the party, right?
Dems have long thought he was a nutcase. His Dem support was the far left who are protesting against Israel and are vegan activists... nobody wants them around... or him.

WE do not know what he wanted from the Harris campaign. If I had to take a guess, my bet is that he wanted to get them to agree to allow him to debate. His leverage was he would drop out and endorse Trump.

I do not see the big deal with the RFK endorsement.
What am I missing? He is not a big deal on the national scene.

His positions opposite the Democrat party's pro-war and anti-free speech positions are not nutty. A lot of Democrats older than 15 will find those issues more important than whether men can have babies and easy access to tampons.

Do you not remember the margin in battleground states in 2020... ANY bump is a big deal

What's the evidence that he contacted Harris? Is there any that is not from a "source familiar with the thoughts of those with knowledge relating to the matter"? As far as I know that story is a complete fabrication by the Harris campaign/ media.
you don't know anything

It doesn’t hurt Trump. It helps if anything. I’ll gladly take a 1% bump if it helps some. It’s symbolic of what the Democrats did to him. They tried to wreck his candidacy. No debates, take him off the ballot, and refuse him Secret Service details just for starters.

I didn't know what pedigree you had on "he is not a big deal". I do now lol

What am I missing? He is not a big deal on the national scene.you're missing two things....
1. The numbers in swing states. Addressed in numerous previous posts so no need to rehash. But, RFKjr only took his name off ballot in swing states, not blue leaning states. And that does amplify the number effect.
2. Who are the voters who make up those numbers is the most significant thing in all this, at least in swing states. They are people who did not want to vote for Biden, and thus Harris, OR Trump for completely different reasons. These are voters who are informed, but don't think about politics regularly. Hence, the MSM reaches them and they are subject to that bias and left leaning propaganda. They are people that heard hoaxes like "good people on both sides" and believed it because of the sheer volume of the smoke and the nightly news never offered evidence to the contrary.
So these are the RFKj voters. If RFK had just disappeared from the ballot they would likely have voted Harris for the reasons above and done it holding their nose. But with the endorsement they will be comfortable "sticking with RFK" and that means following him to Trump, even if they hold their nose while doing it.
