trump 4.8 trillion

I wish he hadn't added that.
However, debt/GDP ratio was unchanged during trump pre COVID.
He grew economy to make up for debt growth. Trump really cut down on regulation costs. Spurred investment.and productivity.

With Biden, we are getting all the debt of Trump, with no real growth.

Since WWII, the economy has performed better under Democratic administrations and its not even close. Jobs, GDP, debt accumulation- all worse during GOP presidencies.

If you, or anyone else for that matter, think either party has been remotely prudent regarding our debt the only person you're fooling is yourself

How much of that deficit was added by lowering taxes? From Obama era programs still adding to debt?

Attack me instead of addressing the issue. Typical Trump supporter. I'm a conservative, not a Democrat populist like Trump.

This whole thread is y'all making excuses. Y'all sit here and bitch about how our government is giving away this country's future, yet when faced with facts, it's all excuses and name calling. Feeble minded fools, the whole lot of you.

remind me again did he give out our tax dollars or did congress authorize the federal reserve to borrow a ton of money to give out as stimulus so our economy didnt come to a grinding halt and cause a depression worse than the 20's?

The federal government made $2.6 trillion in funds available to respond to COVID-19 and spent $1.6 trillion of that in fiscal year 2020. Department of the Treasury and USAFacts.

Another thing to consider is all of the lost revenue due to government shutdowns. Revenue got slashed. More spending and less revenue. Of course, Biden tried his royal best to keep people from coming back to work and pay taxes.

The debt was at 27.75 trillion when Trump left office. It is currently at 34.26 trillion.

That is an increase of 6.51 trillion under Biden and he still has a year to go.

If the trend continues, then the debt increase under Biden will be 8.6 trillion.

Remind me again how he was a marvelous deal maker and was gonna have Mexico pay for a border wall, pay down the debt, and repeal Obamacare and give us something better?

Not only did he not do any of those things, he tried to damage the 2nd Amendment.

That plus his advanced age is a no for me dawg.

Why?

Covid was a fraud

Covid, economically, was a massive disaster. Every country in the world shut down. If Trump had done nothing, we'd probably be better off. But we would have gone through a Great Depression type of event. Unemployment would have been in the 25-35% range.

According to my sources, Trump spent around $3 trillion during the Dems ownership of him during covid. Take that out of the total, leaving around $4.8 trillion added is about the same number Joe Biden is currently at. Of course, Biden still has another year to add to it.

You can’t take that out of the total. He agreed to that but asked for more
