I know they’re not a top ten issue for the vast majority of people, but how high up would you put them?

They are not an issue with me, but I do think they should stay up. (most americans, including plurality of blacks, agree with me.)

If a union soldier could respect a confederate, so can I.

Not as important as what their removal symbolizes

The monuments themselves not so much. The desire of some to erase history because it's uncomfortable, very much so.

Which is what? Ignorance, stupidity, political pandering to half-wits?

They are part of our nation’s history and do not bother me at all. I am 100% against the way Mitch Landrieu removed the status in New Orleans, however. That stunt was just another knee jerk reaction at a faux outrage generated by the Democratic Party. Nothing but political rhetoric at the tax payers’ expense.

I think history shouldn’t be erased, lest it be forgotten and the mistakes of the past be repeated.

Let the dead rest. And don’t touch our culture.

They themselves are not the issue for me, but the push to erase history is. Where in my list that stands is hard to say.

The monument itself? Meh. The idea that we will erase history that is objectionable? Seems like what a Communist would do.

How highly do you value Martin Luther King statues, monuments and namesake roads?

They are not important.

In those areas, neighborhoods and the like, where the demographics have changed in the last 100 years, I certainly understand why the current residents might want to change the name of a public school or take down a Confederate monument.

The issues that are most important to me are as follows:

1) Control our borders and completely stop illegal immigration
2) 2A
3) Expand the private sector for American jobs
4) Eliminate the federal government from our healthcare system
5) Term limits for Congress
6) Obama, HRC, Holder, Lynch in prison for consecutive 300 year sentences

As long as that POS statue of that POS cocksucker Sherman remains in Central Park, then we should be allowed to keep our monuments in tact and unmolested down here.
