Which is what? Ignorance, stupidity, political pandering to half-wits?
This right here. Pure ignorance on display by these removers.

And this why the south is fading. There will come a time when we are just like them.

What are some of the first things leftist groups like Communists and Fascists do? They remove any semblance of the past.
It’s incredibly important to remember where we came from and what got us here. The people that are removing the statues are not friends of the blacks, or the Latins, or the queers, or America as a whole. They have their own agenda and it is foreign from the America our founding fathers envisioned. Just like much of what this government already is.

Before Mitch brought the confederate monument issue mainstream, 99% of the people couldn’t name all the monuments in NOLA or much less tell you where they were located. So it’s nothing more than faux outrage.
monuments, NOLA, CNN, NFL , you get the pic

This isn't true. The Confederate Flag debate in South Carolina has existed since the late 1990's and was one of the reasons why GWB wiped the floor with McCain in the 2000 SC Republican Primary. Supporting its removal also helped cost governors David Beasley and Jim Hodges reelection.

I don't think they're an issue for most people. The only problem I have is letting people who act like these statues are ruining everyone's lives take them down, because they will just start pushing their boundaries on what else they raise hell over.
There's no end game. These people have no purpose in life so they throw all of their energy into bull shite "social movements".

Why is the left so hung up on dead people?
Besides votes.
Besides votes.

I’m pretty mixed on them. They probably make my top 35 or so.
Monuments from directly after the war should stay. Ones from the early 1900s probably shouldn’t.
LINK to a piece of an argument; I tried to find the full one and couldn’t.
The point the white man makes was certainly poorly done, but not without merit entirely. Very poor whites joined the confederacy to defend what little they had. I don’t think those men should be seen in the same light as slave owners.

High enough to go car bowling for commies?

I couldn't give a shite. They lost. I don't like losers. We don't have statues dedicated to British generals after beating them in the Revolutionary War, do we?

I'm not sure of the point of your question. For me individually they aren't terribly important. But in terms of the concept of trying to wipe away things you don't like that General concept is important to me

Build more monuments not tear more down.
People lose a teaching moment. "Look Dad whats that?"
Our history is not suppose to be all good to all people at all times.

The cultural revolution is the best example of that.
Mao annihilated traditional culture in China. You have to go to Taiwan to see what China used to be.
What we’re seeing here is a hollowing out of our values. What will be left with when the process finishes?
Nothing worth keeping.

Exactly...what the left doesn't like, they change from the actual facts. Many kids today get fake history and this is the whole idea of removing these monuments! Liberals can eat dirt and die for all I care!

This is not about the past, it’s about who we are as a people, now.
Otherwise, why bother? Why fight battles against people who died more than a century ago?
Critics may have a problem with the dead, but their bigger grief is with us. They don’t like us, or our values.
It’s always said that science fiction is never about the future, it’s a way of exploring current events through a different lense.
So this battle, theses statues, it’s not about the past.

Just because a monument goes up does not mean it gets to stand in perpetuity. That having been said if it's going to come down it should be by direct vote of the people rather than a city council IMO.

Not important at all. But I suspect the Left is trying to erase history, and history is very, very important.
