Fair point. Maybe he was only at a time in the (very recent) past a member of one of the most heinous gang in the world.

I imagine 0 to negligible.

Why spend even a single penny moving this illegal gang member back to the states just so he can be deported again?
Following the law.
Not doing so has a much larger cost.

You might communicate effectively with a judge or panel of judges, especially ones who themselves are arrogant and self-important, but a jury of laypeople? Not a chance. The last thing they want to be spending a few days with is an attorney who likes nothing more than to hear himself talk and “boast” with overly technical and too voluminous terminology.
That didn’t come across rudely, did it? I’m just trying to speak your language. I’m mostly joking though, obviously as you’re aware we’re encased in a little thicker skin than most, amirite?

This changes everything. If he can't come back to America and reside here illegally again I'm not sure this country will ever be the same.

As I said, I don't think much, if any, legit evidence one way or the other has been presented on this point.
His family clearly claims he's not, but I am not giving that legitimacy at this time, for obvious reasons.

The irony is that you can't recognize the cost of judicial activism, even while you bemoan the consequences of judicial activism.

Think of the bureaucracy!!! What would our country be without its bureaucracy, goddammit.

Again, last jury trial I lost the battle and won the war. Jury came with a conviction for simple battery and not second degree battery. The judge was so pissed that prior to the sentencing date I told my client he may be serving 6 months in jail (which he was fine with as long as he didn't have a felony on his record).
My client base is almost exclusively baws or bawettes.
I'm from a working class background (my dad was a carpenter and my mom was one of the first people on either side to graduate college) and it plays in my blue collar city. The thing is, with your typical baw, they're not in the "challenge SFP because they doubt my intelligence" demo.

Funny enough, the thing I did to really win the jury over was not take up my full time in closing because I promised them we'd get the trial done in a day and I took about 5 minutes to summarize all the differences in testimonies and how the testimonies were all worthless individually which created many reasonable options that the prosecution didn't prove. When the ADA took his full remaining time after me, it was not an optimal strategy.

Why did the administration say he was mistakenly reported?
It's a total language manipulation.
It's like if someone is arrested for murder, but perhaps some procedure is not followed correctly.
Would you say they were "mistakenly" arrested for murder? No, that sounds like an innocent person was picked up off the street.
Just like "mistakenly deported" makes it sound like some rando was picked up at his kids soccer game and sent to El Salvador.
He is a guy that needed deporting and they wanted to deport him, the apparent "mistake" was of the administrative variety.
We can debate that issue, but saying he was "mistakenly deported" is a complete bastardization of language.

This. There's no dispute about this. The Administration could have moved to dissolve the withholding order. No doubt the immigration judge would have granted their motion, and Abrego Garcia could have been legally deported to El Salvador as he should have been in 2019 during the first Trump Administration.
So, what you're really pissed about is... incorrect paperwork.
You admit that the results would have been the same, so you've been bleeding for days over fricking paperwork.
Do you realize how insane that is? Bringing a gangbanger back just so you can deport him "the right way" is retarded. It's pointless, a waste money, and the only purpose would be to make soft people like you feel better. I don't care about your feelings, only results. And the results are exactly what they should have been.

One thing you learn after years in Gifted is highly intelligent people display the "real recognize real" axiom naturally among each other.
It's the people who are above average in intelligence and who think they're smarter than they are who are the ones who project. Your 110-120 type.
