The alternative is Trump is Bukele's bitch, which is much less likely than Bondi lying (as she's done a few times already)

Naw. Some fig-assed judge would say “after all this poor saint has been through, he is restored to the United States and we must pay him $15 million.”

Judges are bitches these days. Amirite?

And ICE guy said that. He probably has some skin in the game.

A DOJ lawyer holdover said that. He has been vamoosed from his job.

Would you agree there are other alternatives? Or does your choice of the reply "The alternative" imply it's the ONLY other reason?

Do you think it was a “mistake?”

You evidently have some ability to divine what the Administration is really thinking.

Sure, if Bukele was rejecting Trump, Trump could show his sincerity by canceling the contract with him and other agreements with him (similar to how he handled his tariff plan with other countries)

That Abrego Garcia should’ve had a withholding of removal.

And yet, he did. The Administration was probably going to seek to have the hold removed so that the deportation to El Salvador could have been legal. Instead, there was "an administrative error," and Abrego Garcia was illegally deported to El Salvador.

The DOJ could have amended their argument in writing at any point.

Update: they have not.

Yeah it's called looking at their legal filings.

Thank you. And would you perhaps agree that the deportation of the guy was an inevitable outcome, all other circumstances aside? And as such, possibly that given the isolated nature of this type of situation under the current approach to immigration and deportation, that this could be considered more so a technical mistake, rather than full fledged, intentionally malicious disregard of either/both statutory law and Constitutional law?

IF you find these aforementioned notions to be accurate, then how can it not be concluded that this incident is being extensively overblown, thus the most rational and productive response, right now at this point in time, being to move on (sure, having made a “historical note” and “lesson learned” to avoid this same exact line of actions and events in the future)? Who cares if a handful of posters on an anonymous internet message board persist in views on the matter that you find asinine. That has zero bearing on the actual President, who, sure, should ALWAYS endeavor to “do better,” as a general concept - shouldn’t we all. That applies to everyone. Bottom line is there’s many more fish to fry, a lot of work and a little bit of time. Move on. And do better. All of us, Trump included. I doubt very seriously he himself would disagree with that premise.

Oh. You really think that they accidentally deported this guy. Ok. I stand corrected.

To clarify.

Do you think the Administration mistakenly deported him?

Or did they purposefully flout the order?

No, but that's not the relevant question.

The mistake was where they deported him.

Did they deport him to the wrong country? Yes

Was this in violation of the law? Yes

*ETA: let's see if you selectively curate this response
