From dog catcher all the way up to POTUS. Have they ever made conditions better for the people they are supposed to serve? Have they ever created anything of lasting value? Do they do anything that is good and decent?

My uncle-in-law is a die hard blue dog Democrat from WAY back. He's been a judge here in Alabama his whole life. He's done wonderful things in the criminal justice system here in Alabama. Seriously. Some truly life altering stuff in the truest sense of the word.

With that said, you can't talk politics with him at all. Other than his stance on criminal justice, I don't agree with him at all.

They began the social security scam instead of demanding people help themselves.

Does that count?

Telling the people you are too stupid to save for your own retirement seems brilliant.

Kennedy had the potential possibly, but Johnson fricked it all up.

Roosevelt's New Deal was a shite-ton of money and an explosion of government overreach that in the end was only a band-aid on a sucking chest wound. HItler and Tojo is what really brought us out of the Depression...

The government: You're not mismanaging your retirement funds well enough. Let us mismanage those funds better for you.

I would have done much better investing my own money instead of putting into Social "Security".

No, but they make they make the lives worse of the people their voters hate. That’s why they are in the business of creating hate, CRT. They can weaken the country and have support for it!

Not to mention even if you take both programs to have improved conditions for the people, you're talking about legislation that was passed well over fifty years ago.

Sounds like a campaign slogan to me - "Vote Blue, We Did Something Good For You 60 Years Ago!"

This is the mountain all fiscal conservatives have to climb. The legacy (and myths) of the New Deal.

Do they, though?

I'm pretty sure the recipients of free housing, free school, food stamps, WIC, EITC-funded spending sprees, free van rides to wherever, free internet, obama phones, preferred status on every application form they'll ever fill out, etc etc... are the same ones burning shiat down and claiming racism with every other breath.

No! The destructive results of progressivism are really being felt and seen all through society over the past 40-50 years. It's no coincidence that society degradation has increased a lot as the American Marxists and their progressive policies are implemented.

You miss spelled politicians. Modern day Republicans (for the past 100 years) are just as bad as Democrats.
