Hiding so her mouth doesn't sink her candidacy.

The MSM carries her water by telling everyone how she is this great candidate; while burying all of her past.

Well, they are parroting Trump's personality.

They are so far up his arse that they—consciously or unconsciously—act like him.

It's either that or it's the other way around—the reason that they are so enamored of him in the first place is because they have a similar personality.

But yeah. Trump attacks those who criticize anything about him—even if they generally support him winning—and so do his cult members...I mean base.

You’re mistaken. However, after 2020,
I complexly gave up on the GOP. I don’t recognize it anymore. It’s not the part of Reagan or his predecessors.
I’ll acknowledge that I’ve never been a hardcore doctrinaire right winger. Especially in the so-called Culture War. I’ve always tended centrist, and it gets me into arguments with friends on both ends of the spectrum.

I'm not in the cult, I get accused on here of being a lefty, but I'm still voting for him. He's left of me, but a much better choice than kamala.

I was talking with an old political operative on the state level this past weekend who was explaining the surge in the Harris campaign. He said a few things that were very interesting about both Harris and Trump:

Trump can solidly rely on about a 43% turnout for him in a general. The other 7-8% is not as reliable due to a number of factors. 1) Trump himself. These folks look at Trump and his spectacles and it gives them pause. These are the solid middle class to upper middle class voters who are educated. They object to Trump as a person moreso than any policy he may advocate. Like it or not, fair or not, even reasonable or logically, the person and his personify do influence. 2) His MAGA supporters.....this could be #1. If they see Trump as a spiteful individual, they see the MAGA brigades, especially the Freedom Caucus types as almost dangerous....guys like Gaetz, Johnson , MTG and others in the House Tom Cotton in the Senate and to a lesser extent Ted Cruz , Hawley and some guy out of Oklahoma who wants to fight people. Sane Republican voters look at them and it gives them pause. They dislike Democrats very much but the MAGA Freedom guys make them stop and rethink their support for the current crop of Republicans.

Harris is not liked. She is not liked by the Democrats or the Power structure of Democrats like Pelosi or Obama or even Schumer. She's not even all that well liked by CA Democrats like Newsom or Schiff. But she knows how to play the game as well as any of them. Newsom in particular does not like her, because she keeps getting rewarded for just being there. However, she does not rub people the wrong way. She's not particularly intellectually bright....but she's smart enough, and for some on the fence the fact that she's not Trump means everything. There is about 12% of the electorate that is just tired of Trump and his never ending soap operas and petty disputes, etc.

My friend us well known as a political operative in Louisiana and he works mostly for Republican candidates. But he also does a lot of polling and analytics.

Kamala may as well just be an AI-generated UN/FedGov candidate ...

Just like Joe, she's being propped up by an extremely well-organized effort to gaslight people into thinking she is likeable, qualified, etc. It reminds me alot of the crypto community on Twitter. Bitcoin is pushing all time highs and you see people constantly saying it's going to $1 million.. EVERYTHING in your brain is telling you that won't happen and they're full of shite ........ buuut then you start hammering that calculator and computing how many beach houses you could buy.

We really aren't far off from just having a fake person as the name on the ballot, and our government being run by whoever is pulling the strings right now for Joe

You’re on a political board attacking Trump but yet you don’t vote?

You support a candidate who says democracy is a joke. That there exists a deep state shadow government who has rigged the voting machines and stuffed the ballot boxes and that election outcomes are all predetermined.

And you still vote?

Lou Pai is actively hoping for a Trump loss so he can say Ron should have been the nominee. The country be damned. Lou needs to get his "I told you so" posts on TD.com

I'd trust some rando on the street to lead better than her. She's despised by everyone who comes in touch with her.

What is going on? She is out campaigning, talking about issues, being direct with the people and smiling. Trump is a rambling, stumbling mess. All he had to do in 2020 to win was address his accomplishments and hammer on em, all he has to do now is the same with how he is going to address our issues concerning inflation, interest, the border, the Middle East, Israel.......specific policy. But nope we are going to be stuck with this left wing loon because AGAIN American right wing folks cant cast Trump aside for an electable candidate.

Trump is forever stuck on 2020. He cannot get past it.

If he loses, this is the reason why. His main priorities seem to be negatively attacking Kamala (will have n positive effect,) attacking Republicans and crying about the 2020 election.

Tax cuts, border security, addressing crime and boosting energy production are unrecognizable platform issues for the GOP?

I live in Louisiana so I don’t have to care. Trump will take this state and I’m neither angry nor thrilled.

I’ll vote in State and Local elections and it’s almost always for the fiscal conservative candidate who I feel will improve my life.
