It was reported yesterday that Trump is doing a 100 million ad buy from now through Labor Day in the 7 swing states. That’s a lot of ads running. Hopefully that starts to hurt her. BTW, morning consult had her up nationally 47-44 yesterday. The week before they had her 48-44. Could be a sign she has peaked.

The fix is in. They know it.

Just look at the responses by Harris voters in this thread:
"All they have to do is nominate someone who isn't a ham sandwich."
"All she has to do is smile and read a teleprompter."
They are laughing at you to your face. And for the weak-minded folks who say Trump is the reason for this, they told voters Mitt Romney would enslave black people back in 2012. They compared John McCain to Barry Goldwater. They've attacked JD Vance for statements made 3 years ago. What we are witnessing is the same thing that's happened in Venezuela: the complete consolidation of legacy media and a political party to create a one-party presidential state.

I'd say it's more like 30%, but yeah. That's it.
Trump really is a narcissistic personality, so he has to be adored and he attacks anyone who falls short of that adoration. He's got 30% of the base that does adore him and he proceeds to alienate everybody else in the world.
It's not just the 10-12% swing voters, he's hated—HATED—by the media and Hollywood. The Big Three thought influencers don't like any Republican, but they've never hated anybody as badly as they hate Trump. Not even Nixon.
So they have pulled out all the stops. They've found an extra gear. They're doing everything they can to see that he does not win, and they have that much influence.
One of the reasons I keep saying that no Republican will ever have anything but a tiny slim victory as POTUS ever again is that this election is going to alert them to just how much power they have to influence the outcome of a national election. This is a really bad precedent.
But you Trump populists always indicated in so many words that you would much rather lose with Trump than win with anybody else. Looks like you may get your wish. If so, congratulations. Maybe he'll still be around to run again in 2028 and we can lose with him again. Good times.

Sure, they have always disliked Republicans, but they've never hated anybody as badly or been as desperate to keep anybody out of the WH as Trump. Surely you'll admit that now. You Trump populists have long been citing the very same thing as proof that Trump isn't part of the "establishment," as in, "See who they're afraid of, it's because they know Trump is legit." You can't be proud of it as evidence of street cred then and turn around and act like he's just any old Republican now. You don't get to have it both ways.
(And btw, that wasn't the media that said that about Romney...that was Biden.)

They hated Bush Jr. almost as bad in '04, after the start of second war in Iraq. It was a different time and people weren't beat over the head with it by social media like they are with Trump. Kerry was winning in most all of the polls until the GOP Convention. Bush delivered a really good speech, even poking fun at himself on multiple occasions. Lot of people said to themselves that he wasn't the devil he was made out to be and he never trailed in another poll. Only Republican to win the popular vote in the last 35 years.

Well said. Either he's ok with that or he just doesn't care. It's certainly not due to him not knowing how to win.
And because of this, she's going to win bigly in November, and this country will be unrecoverable. I'm amazed at how fast Kumallah's fake arse is courting and actually getting that 12%.

Shes the worst candidate ever. Vapid, shallow party chick who lucked into her lot in life.

Democrats hate trump with a passion. They hate republicans in general but he gets them fired up like no other. Joe’s decline gave even SOME of these people pause and a lot of independents pause for a week or two.
The democrats will vote in lockstep for a candidate without dementia however dumb she may be. A fair chunk of independents who dislike Trump as well (easily influenced women, etc) will also vote for anyone else because they’re low info, have low critical reasoning ability, and vote on feelings.
There are a small amount of republicans (probably single digits) who will abstain from voting because Trump is the nominee. These are the true rinos.
It’s an uphill battle annd a fight and anyone who doesn’t think so isn’t likely being realistic and viewing things through the lens of this board.

Trump campaign got caught flatfooted. But for Vance, hasn't really reacted well to KH.

But don't you see the difference, by your own description?
Bush worked on endearing himself to voters.
Trump gives everybody the middle finger every chance he gets. The 30% who would follow him to Jonestown loves it when he does it, but everybody else is disgusted by it to some degree (some mildly, some moderately, some profoundly).
You just made my point about how Trump is not like every other Republican.
And yeah, you're right, it is a different world now with social media as part of "the media." What that means to me is that—again—the media is even more powerful now than it used to be.

You under-estimate the anti-Trump sentiment among the general population. People are tire of the bullshite.
