Excellent - close all our military bases there while we're at it

Trump is goosing them to live up to their NATO obligations instead of being dependent parasites on the US military.

I've been to Germany and most of Europe. We won't be missing out on much.

It's an approach. If European countries begin to cut ties with the US, then we will have to deal with it.

I can't remember is it France or Germany who only has a handful of operating Air Force Jets and the rest need 'maintenance'?

These countries are such lightweights. We don't need them they need us and they will definitely come running and screaming to us when the Muslims try to take power.

I live here in Ceiba, Puerto Rico….right next to what used to be Roosevelt Roads Naval Station.
When the Americans pulled out of here thanks to the pressure by the PR people and its government, the financial hit this whole side of the island took, was MASSIVE!!!
What used to be a thriving side of the island is now a relic of what it used to be…..tread carefully my Germany!

How many troops do we have stationed in Germany these days? I'm sure those US installations provide nothing to the local German economies in wages, and local purchases, housing, etc........

I’m sure Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, etc would be happy to take the troops stationed in Germany now. And we’d still have the desired forward basing footprint in the area. Same goes for the UK.
