These cameras have been around for decades, suddenly we give it a buzz word "flock" and everyone is up in alarm. Why the rage now?
Palantir, with law enforcement, using cameras, has been very effective in tracking illegals.
Best way to combat it, use conservatives to fight against the very tool used to support their cause, deporting illegals.....and its working like a charm.
Same with data centers, they have been around for decades, thousands of them. Yet suddenly this uproar and all these ridiculous arguments against them.....and the chinese laugh. A few million placed here and there with ngos and they have conservatives helping china win the AI race.
Step back and reflect. Who benefits if all "flock" cameras are removed. Would that stop any policeman from pulling you over???? But it certainly would hamper tracking down illegals hmmmmmm.

There’s plenty to be up in arms about regarding flock cameras.
But yeah, it seems strange it became the hot topic everywhere all at the same time.
And I *do* seem to recall the initial grumblings about it were about blue areas being upset ICE would use them. Not that regular people didn’t have concerns, but the first news worthy grumbles.

Interesting theory ab the flock cameras. Im fine with them. If you're not doing anything wrong , you should have nothing to worry about.
However I see how they could be weaponized if the dims ever regain power

I didnt even know the name "flock" until a month ago. Now it's all people can talk about. It's obviously being pushed by some entity.
I want more cameras out watching the public streets, not less. If the gov wants to spy on you, they don't need flock cameras to do it

If flock cameras were just used for tracking illegals and criminals that would almost be a winning argument. But how do you suppose that those cameras magically work only when those two groups pass by it? Reverse your theory of propaganda that law enforcement and politicians are using the “ we only care about criminals and illegals” narrative to which it also can be used for / against. I’m already against phone popping up with messages and suggestions when I get in my vehicles at 7 am and it says that I have 2.3 mile to the store on a Wednesday because I’ve already been there a previous day or I have 80 miles to a particular spot on the Mississippi coast when I get in the vehicles at noon. Now I may not be going there at that precise moment but I also might not like a person who just happens to be in the car hearing or seeing that either. I don’t think you as many people against data centers as flock cameras as the data centers bullshite is most overseas propaganda to slow American technology development. A I is undoubtedly scary, even Elon admits it’s an issue, but it can also can help. All that said I’d rather not have cameras that tracks my every movement and im about as legal as a person can get, well if you don’t count speeding, not stopping at a stop sign for a whole 3 seconds period when nobody else is around, or watching a bit to long ( really not possible to do ) on a beautiful shapely female in those bodysuits that others may say it resembles stalking

Racist technology in action: Image recognition Technology is still not able to differentiate gorillas from black people
Btw that’s the title of the article on the anti racism website I didn’t come up with it

You know, Lawyers are kinda like whores. There's never one around when you need one, and when you need one....you REALLY need one. Lawyers could maybe, be one of the checks on the Flock camera abuse, if they can get around suing a government entity. Probably gonna be ruled unconstitutional in the future anyway.

I want every Flock camera cut down and I’m not with an NGO. And I reached this opinion independently.
I do not trust law enforcement and I do not trust the government.
I do not trust law enforcement and I do not trust the government.

Yeah, because it probably needs to be linked to an official driver's license or employee work badge.

Such an ignorant arse statement, especially considering how many innoncent people have already been arrested and jailed because the cameras told cops that was their guy.....
Never forget this:
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

This is the biggest tell.
The cameras themselves obviously did not suddenly just pop up.
But a sect of easily triggered enthusiasts did suddenly appear to pop up at the same time. They were there already in stand by mode for the next round of receiving talking points that would predictably trigger them. I doubt they are aware of how easily they were manipulated.
It also highlights different sects of libertarianism. Some are strict about preserving fundamental concepts of rights while others view boundaries as dependent on the externalities - to what extent does an individual’s freedom to behave as they would like (ex: criminal behavior) impose costs on the freedom of others.

Like it or not, this is all a tempest in a teapot. Americans are outraged now but, in 12-18 months they'll have forgotten about it. Hell, we just had the largest brush with totalitarianism in American history just 5-6 years ago and we've been told to "just move on" with not a single person hanged. This will pass quickly.

I never liked cameras.
