Iirc, in Pennsylvania, they can be received up to three days after the election, no signature, no date, and no post mark.

How silly to assume that people should be responsible enough to follow an instruction like writing a date.
There must be literally thousands upon thousands of people who should not be held to such an unreasonable expectation.

I can't say with 100% certainty that this will result in fraud.
But I can say that it certainly rolls out the red carpet in case fraud wants to make an appearance.

Wouldn’t someone that did all of what you stated also put the date on the ballot. What does the date prove?
Date would need to be written by hand. A fake post mark can be applied with a copier or stamp. Hand writing the date would take a lot more time. If you were going to run a fraud operation you'd want as few people as possible, and time would be pretty important. Requiring the date is a safeguard and it's also just a standard element for all things official.

This is what I don't get, you know years in advance an election is coming, why do you need 3 days or any days after an election is closed to turn in your ballot?

Are you telling us that they were unable to write a fraudulent date and that's why they left it blank?

When I was in school (back when people were actually held accountable for their actions), if your dumb arse forgot to put your name on your test, you got a 0.
Why should someone who has been instructed to date their ballot have their vote counted if they cannot follow the simplest of instructions.
If you are that fricking stupid and carless, then you don't deserve to have a say.

Well gosh, it sure seems like such a person could also write the date on fake ballots.
What kind of elevated security do you think a handwritten date provides?
