Says a lot about politics when the guys losing money to serve, rather than capitalizing on economic opportunities and become wildly rich by serving, are perceived to be the bad guys.

Anyone who has ever been written into history books don't mind attention. Most crave it. No doubt.
I do think he's got an ego.
But that does not account for threats on his life. It does not account for his sacrifices.
Lowly people like yourself don't understand him and will accost him with violent ignorance. And he will go right along helping you while you kick and scream like a mind-virus wielding child.

They can’t enact it in the US because he is president right now so while I agree they haven’t changed their goals, the market realities for EVs in the US are completely changed from 2024 which is the focus of this thread.

Didn't he also get the Tesla connection to become the industry norm? Don't know if he's making money off that, since he opened sourced so much. But it would be funny if he listed out every EV on the market that is using something Tesla created/patented. Even making money off of.

No, Musk has stated numerous times and shown it through selling all of his homes, that he doesn't give a shite about the money.
It started when his son/daughter went full on commie, accusing him of being a money whore. As much as he claims the Woke Mind Virus is to blame, he still took it to heart and it hurt him that Xavier became Jenna. He sold all his homes after that and has lived with friends and his home in South Texas through SpaceX is only like 1200sq ft.
He's made it clear that all his money goes back into his companies as he tries to futher humanity and prevent our eventual extinction.

That's mean to say about an autistic person. Shaming people with a disability is wrong.
Though his autist side does enjoy taking on chaos. So his brain sees helping to fix the largest corporation in the world as an ultimate task. Just hope for him, once it's done, the Mars task is still large enough to satisfy his needs. Once that is accomplished, who knows what will keep his autistic side fed.

Not really there are adapters people can get and like Rivian does come with a super charger subscription now but the charger setup doesn't work well for them and forces the drivers to take two spots up instead of 1.

Elon was worth almost $400B before the downturn. While much of that is on paper, anyone with his business savvy has undoubtedly stashed away tens of millions in cash, bonds, precious metals, real estate, et.al. I think he will be fine.
