Yeah, I haven’t seen anything from RDS that causes mr to say, “hey, I can’t support this guy”

Really, the only thing I haven’t been pleased with was his walking back statements that he would quit sending money to Ukraine…

yeah but he should have pardoned them before he left the WH, so its on him for not helping them then like Desantis will now that he is on the campaign trail

He should have just recorded a cringe version of the pledge and taken photo ops with the families

That's the extent of what Trump has done for the J6 guys

Misleading. He says he will consider pardoning.

Even Trump said he would have to "consider" pardoning people for Jan 6. In spite of how we feel about Jan 6 there was violence that occurred.

You've been here for 10 years. If you felt this way about DeSantis, surely there must be tons of posts dating before 6 months ago stating such.

I'd love to read some...

Hey RonBot, what is the Clinton definition of "consider" mean?

As he should say.

He should not blanket say he would without reviewing individual cases.

He is an attorney, to say otherwise would be foolish.

I'm sure there will be histrionics over this nuance

Out of the president's jurisdiction unfortunately.

Tell that to Joe Bidum. It only is if it's a republican potus.

Hopefully, Abbotts recommendation to Texas parole board works.

You mean the one that got there on a baseball scholarship, worked summers in menial jobs to help pay his expenses, and then while in Harvard Law enrolled in the military instead of going into a private practice making huge money?

So what should he say when asked the question?

No one disagrees. I just said it was misleading. The OP clearly states that DeSantis WILL pardon J6 defendants.

I read that like he would give it a think. Maybe yes, maybe no.

Trump only went to the Wharton School of Economics, the most prestigious business school maybe on earth.

Practically Community College.

And it only took polling for him to say it. He never spoke up during their prosecution. Not a word when they were being drug out of their homes in Fl.

Trump could've pardoned them before he left office or helped their families but he didn't and he hoarded nearly $100 Million he raised in 2022 for himself.

What do you really think he could have done for them while in the private sector?

What has DeSantis done for his FL citizens getting wrapped up in all of this?

I've been clear for a long time now that states leaders need to start stepping up for their citizens against the feds, so I'm seriously wondering what DeSantis has done for his citizens here. Has he said stuff about fighting for them up to this point?

No he couldn't. He wasn't in office when those people were prosecuted.

OK, I could be wrong on this, and I hope I am

I based that statement on threads I saw here on TD and in news articles like this one from the AP

I’m open to the idea that the media is lying and that Trump sycophants on here blew it out of proportion

Please explain why that statement is incorrect
