When did Ivy League schools start offering athletic scholarships? If the first sentence is a complete lie it’s hard to believe the rest.

They don't but they typically offer merit scholarships to those that play sports.

I'm serious.

People seem to have incredibly strong, well thought out, deeply held feelings about the guy. He's been a pretty hot topic on this board for over 3 years at least, and I'm here a ton...but I don't recall seeing any of these takes until, well...fairly recently.

I'm willing to admit I may have simply missed them and credit all posters who said these things 6+ months ago about DeSantis for being ahead of the curve.

Surely those of you who feel this way would like to step up and show everyone here how right you've all been and for how long?

Nah. Those guys messed up.

We'll disagree, but the GA stuff can stand. imo not any kind of fed add-ons, if any, based on it being white guys. As thats the only reason it was an issue, and that kind of shite needs to stop.

We were all responding to this post from RammerJammer before you jumped in.

Trump could've pardoned them before he left office or helped their families but he didn't and he hoarded nearly $100 Million he raised in 2022 for himself.

What does he even have to do with J6? It was Trump supporters that for whatever idiotic reason went into the Capitol

Ok...so then why did he say anything now if he has nothing to do with what happened on J6?

And if he really cared he would have looked into working with his AG to help his own citizens that may be getting wrapped into the persecution for just being there. If there are any FL citizens in jail right now over J6 and haven't had their speedy trial then he should have been working on getting them help. And I say that about all gvnrs, but he threw his hat in that ring now.

yeah but he should have pardoned them before he left the WH, so its on him for not helping them then like Desantis will now that he is on the campaign trail

I assume you are being sarcastic but this is not far from what some Trump haters probably believe. Trump should have issued a clairvoyant pardon.

Note to people that still don't understand; you can't pardon something that does not exists.

That's probably why Ron said he would consider it and why Trump said on a case by case basis. I assure you, any provocateurs that the DOJ did not charge (probably none) will not get a pardon.

You have to. You need to know the details of each pardon. Some people probably deserve jail time. Grandma walking the halls deserves a pardon. Friend of Antifa bro breaking windows deserves jail time.

Get it?

Do you want him to say I will pardon everyone blanket without looking at any evidence or individual cases?

That's dumb.

Also read the updated statement, I don't see how anyone can argue with it.

I wish this board had some intellectual honesty.

Here's one of Trump's statements on it:

quote:

“And if I become president, someday if I decide to do it, I will be looking at them very, very seriously for pardons. Very, very seriously,” he added

He also said in his CNN townhall that he would be "inclined to pardon many" of the j6 defendants

Notice he did not say he WOULD. He did not say everyone would be pardoned.

Copycat Ron strikes again, but at least that's a good thing to copy.

Now if he can go on record and tell use he won't start new wars and coups and that interventionalism is bad, I might consider supporting him if he's nominated.
