the guys in the OP didn't commit an assault.
Instead, they interrupted a worship service and did so based upon their hatred of the religion in question, a clear and unambiguous set of violations of Florida statutory law.

And why? Because the Muslims worship God diffently than that collection of rednecks.
No, it's because islam is a violent third-world ideology that has no place in Western civilization. Some people can see what's happening in Europe and don't want that here. Others will slit their own throats appeasing the inbred horde so they can stick it to conservatives.

You’re next asshoe. Just wait. There’ll come a time when just speaking about it will land you in jail.

It's good to know that NOW a group of people praying is considered a worship service, and can't be interrupted in FL. I'm sure people like you will be ok with that being law everywhere.
Funny how people like you havent cared about Christians being hassled for praying. Ie...coaches praying off alone being fired. This going on for decades. All based on hatred. But NOW you defend other groups. The hypocrisy is hilarious.

Not a worship service.
Public ground.
Let them frick each other with pork tenders.

HB 269 builds upon Governor DeSantis’ record of safeguarding the free exercise of religion in Florida by:
* Prohibiting a person from intentionally dumping litter onto private property for the purpose of intimidating or threatening the owner, resident, or invitee of such property;
* Prohibiting a person from willfully and maliciously harassing, threatening, or intimidating another person based on the person's wearing or displaying of any indicia relating to any religious or ethnic heritage;
* Creating a new trespass offense if a person who is not authorized, licensed, or invited willfully enters the campus of a state college or university for the purpose of threatening or intimidating another person, and is warned by the institution to depart and refuses to do so; and

These cops should be publicly flogged. They charged two students with felonies for eating bacon in front of some vile muslims.
That is not what they charged them with.
Florida Statute 871.01, “Whoever willfully and maliciously interrupts or disturbs any school or any assembly of people met for the worship of God, … commits a misdemeanor of the first degree.” It also applies to Military funerals and school events.
Florida Statute 775.085 has rules for hate crime enhancement when there is evidenced prejudice against “race, color, ancestry, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, homeless status, or advanced age of the victim.” This bumps first-degree misdemeanors up to third-degree felonies......oops
Florida Statute 784.0493 deals with harassment based on religious or ethnic heritage. It makes it illegal (first-degree misdemeanor) to “willfully and maliciously harass or intimidate another person based on the person’s wearing or displaying of any indicia relating to any religious or ethnic heritage.”
Pretty clear the trolls are guilty.
Trial by jury... not guilty.

No.
This was a public street not a religious assembly. People are allowed to counter demonstrate an impoptou display of religion in a public area.
The statute is fine, but it is being misapplied here.

If you choose to pray outside in public, don't act shocked when things happen outside in public.

Terrorism is “threatening violence in furtherance of an ideology,” according one poster here.
What message are Muslims expected to take from this vulgar display? That they should feel safe in public spaces? Of course not.
Imagine a group of Muslims approaching Christians gathered for an outdoor Easter service, waving and mockingly consuming desecrated communion wafers or torn Bible pages, while yelling anti-Christian insults like “infidels” or “crusaders,” spitting toward the worshippers, and implying threats of further harm to coerce them into abandoning their religious practices or feeling unsafe in public spaces.
Because that’s what these students did here.

That already happens all the time.
You have no expectations of privacy in public.

Free speech. Same as people burning a bible. I don't agree with the tactics, but the rules must be applied evenly across the board. Now if these people are students and kicked out of school, that's acceptable, but criminal charges? No. The first amendment protects this, not people's feelings.
I guess it depends on who the judge thinks is the true God, right?
