They're going to destroy a 44 year old who is the best chance of carrying on some form of MAGA in favor of a 76 year old who very well may be politically irrelevant in two years. The way Trump is susceptible isn't necessarily on ideas. He's mostly solid there. It's on follow through, getting shite done, and not being susceptible to being played by the Left. That's where Trump came up short as president, and where an opponent can make hay.

He attacked Trump in 2 ways and it was a canned response:

There’s two issues.

1. The Never-Trumpers have a passive aggressive power complex, be they corrupt or not. Trump is an aggressive power that they cannot handle. Never Trumpers want anyone but Trump. They will make everyone suffer to get it.
2. Trump has convinced the Trumpers that all Never-Trumpers, and anyone they see as an Ally, are part of the Globohomo Agenda.

Nothing that DeSantis says or does, says he is a Globohomo. Except, that the Never-Trumpers want him. They want him because he is their best option to not have Trump, that is their goal.

My ask for Trumpers, is that you not turn on DeSantis until after the first Presidential debate. It’s how long it took me to fully accept Trump.

In my mind, the epitome of Never-Trump are folks like Rick Wilson, Bill Kristen, Ana Navarro, etc. All have given indications that they'd prefer to see Trump win the nomination over DeSantis.

The idea that Never-Trump backs DeSantis is largely without any evidence. What I expect is that they will quietly push Trump as they'd much prefer he lose the general than the primary, but they will certainly celebrate as though vindicated if he loses to DeSantis.
