This is utter bull shite stupidity. Who gives a frick if CB wants to try and sell some rainbow rocking chairs. I hate cancel culture bull shite no matter if it comes from the left or the right. If seeing a rainbow rocking chair offends you, don't buy the fricking chair.

For Cracker Barrel don’t hire the younger woman as a ceo.

I don't really give a frick what color the rocking chairs are

Nor do I.

However, I'm well aware that lots of people—the type of people that are their target audience—do.

it's less egregious than the poisoning of their patrons

You can say that again. I developed acute salmonellosis after eating supper at Cracker Barrel I-45 North in Houston on Dec. 7, 2001. Just a routine meal of meat loaf, greens, mac & cheese and cornbread-- nothing out of the ordinary.

Brutal diarrhea that just wouldn't quit for days, with a fever. It became chronic and resulted in recurring bouts of particularly noxious sulfuric diarrhea & flatulence until October the following year. No doubt spread the inf and sickened family members and co-workers during that time.

Since that time have avoided all Cracker Barrels -- I haven't got time for the pain

And it's not like Cracker Barrel was beating the world headed into June 2023. The stock price on the eve of the gay chair roll out was already 35% lower than it was in 2019.

So they thought they would appeal to the LGBTQ crowd to boost numbers?

If you can't admit that this was about the stupidest thing since—well, Bud Light—then I don't know what to tell you.

Another company thought putting a turd in their customers punch bowl would be good marketing. People want good food, not woke fools.

I want last month for the first time since probably before the covid BS.......it sucked.

20 years ago it was a solid place to grab a meal and for a good price. Not sure if it is leadership but something changed dramatically.

Sure, but I don't own Cracker Barrel and I don't have to care about their complaints.

I'll stick to breakfast and being amused at people outraged over painted chairs.

Why do these companies never apologize?

The food quality has also gone down since around covid. We used to hit their breakfast once very couple of months. Not anymore. I never noticed they went woke though.

Went for the first time in years a year ago. It was absolutely awful.

I understand.

What I don't understand is how these CEOs keep doing things like this.

Cracker Barrel in particular isn't the takeaway from this story to me. It's that someone else Bud Lighted themselves.

That would probably be the only thing they could do to make it worse IMO.

34 downvotes on my post, really? I didn't realize Crisco and GMOs were so dear to most of you.

Some of us have been boycotting restaurants like Cracker Barrel with their seed oil laden and ultra processed food for many years now.

CB is actually better about this than many. They will still bring you actual butter

true. Last time I went to one was 2018. The food was cardboard.

And seriously I have no problem with gays, I’m as live and let live as it gets but can we stop with the woke horseshite? That has been more divisive than anything else.

Reminds me of one of the actors from Doctor Who telling fans who are upset about the current state of affairs of the show that they shouldn’t let the door hit them on the way out.

That’s been a slow motion car wreck since December or January. I’m not an avid TV watcher but my daughter got us watching the reboot of Dr Who and it was really good through Matt Smith. We gave up some time during the next doctor, who was also a white male but the writing sucked. Gave the uterine doctor 2-3 episodes, and apparently picking a flamboyant queer who hates the actual character hasn’t helped things.

frick off lib. Go take your bullshite rainbows somewhere else.

I'm not a liberal and I'm not part of the alphabet community. I just hate this cancel culture crap no matter which side it comes from, and rainbows don't offend me because I'm a fricking adult. The alphabet people do far worse shite that actually is offensive and repulsive during their pride bull shite, but the rainbow flag doesn't bother me. And if a company wants to sell some stuff to people who like it, why should I give any fricks? I'm not buying it.

My dad took my kids there one Sunday a few weeks back, and said it's the first time he didn't leave a tip at any "sit-down" restaurant in his life.

They lost a CB purist that day. I'd imagine similar reactions nationwide which likely has made their future unsustainable as a whole.
