in trumps defense, the fact that he didn't keep memos for Obama or Bush is going to be used against him and used to spin this as an unfair attack on Trump and thus not viable evidence.

Trump trying to build a relationship with Comey (and his other cabinet members) and Comey obviously felt uncomfortable with it.
