What this means is that Christians are not Required to support any action or act that the secular modern state called Israel chooses to commit. It means that US citizens who are Christians are free to be patriotic Americans who support America first policies.
I think I know the "Evangelical" mind-set fairly well, and, I don't think that knowing the truth about the USS Liberty will shake their determination to support whatever Israel does. That's a big part of their religion.

They wanted to finish off the Egyptian armor and seize the Golan Heights from Syria before the West forced a ceasefire short of their objectives. The Liberty was a surveillance ship and they took it out to hide the progress of the war.
Surely you don't need a surveillance ship to notice Israel took possession of the Golan Heights weeks/months later?
Would America have physically prevented Israel from doing so had they noticed? If so, why not do something afterward, especially after they attacked and killed Americans?

I have no opinion on the Liberty beyond that it could have been a tragic incident which was the result of friendly fire.
It happens, regardless of the precautions taken.
I am suspect of the motives of Candice though.

He's just saying he doesn't like Candace because he doesn't like Candace. Can't even spell her name correctly.

Jews have always been cruel but always play the victim. They’re intentional with this.

According to the video and other sources, the incident occurred as a failed false flag. The sinking of USS Liberty would have been blamed on the Arabs as a justification for direct US intervention on behalf of Israel.
That's why you hear the phrase "our great sin was surviving."
The only new information to me in this video was the assertion that the event had been planned "a year in advance" and that the Liberty replaced a civilian ship doing the same mission because "it would be a bigger deal if the Arabs sunk a US Navy ship.
I'd think it'd have been a bigger deal if they'd sunk a civilian ship.
I not knowledgeable on the history surrounding this incident. But did America react in any way to this attack? What would the purpose of this false flag be?

There is zero chance they didn’t figure it out when Liberty busted out a huge US flag, and the Israelis kept attacking it.
If there's one thing we know about terrorists, is that they never pretend to be something they're not.

The greater weight of the evidence says that your opinion is misguided.
If an official inquiry were conducted, the greater weight of the evidence would demonstrate that this was not a friendly fire incident.
To take the position that "it COULD have been a friendly fire incident" is to hold a position that conflicts with the preponderance of the evidence.

Here you go. 3 survivors and no Candace

I had never heard the assertion that the initial wave of attack planes had their insignia blacked out. And that's likely because our own DoD has muzzled these survivors for decades under threat of prison. Still, no matter how justified your anger, stewing about something for 50+ years can affect your memory. So I'm not 100% on the false flag angle but the French radio intercepts refute any notion of mistaken identify. The pilots positively identified the Liberty as an American ship and objected but at the end of the day followed orders from their ground control and attacked anyway.

The bigger implication is that it was NOT a sneak attack: that it was a co-ordinated false flag between Washington and Israel to provide a pretext for the US entering the war on the Israeli side because the "Arabs" sunk a US Naval vessel.
I am not completely convinced, but the failed false flag DOES explain lack of US help to save the Liberty. 17 hours before the first US navy vessel reached the Liberty??? And, US jets could have reached the Liberty within 40 minutes of her distress calls.
At a minimum, it would be nice to have this explained officially.

No. The public largely didn’t know about it because it was buried.

If the ship had been sunk and all the sailors dead, they could have claimed the Egyptians did it and America would have come in and wrecked everyone in the region.

Terrorists in possession of a US naval research ship? Is that what you’re trying to say?

Ah, I see the wrench in the gears now.
Though, if over 85% of the ship survived, one must question if this was really a false flag type event. Like, that's not even close to being a "crap, we almost got away with it" ending.

...
I'm questioning if they knew it was a US ship.
Of course if we assume they identified it as a US ship, then they knew it was a US ship.

I used to do a lot of work in rural Latin American places where young Israelis backpacked through as part of their government funded gap years.
They were some of the most despised people on earth in those places because of their behavior. Refusing to pay guides, leaving trash and
I've heard this same story from people that spent time in Costa Rica. They supposedly love Americans because we spent money there and respect their way of life. The Israelis come in, buy huge chunks of land and development them, which destroys the Costa Rica way of life.

1. Right off the bat, they used heat seeking missiles to take out their communications towers, but unknown to them one of the crew had taken one offline so the missiles didn’t hit it. So they got it back up and running and sent distress signals out.
2. The Israelis fired 5 torpedoes at the ship, but only 1 hit (the one that killed 25 men instantly).
3. A Soviet ship arrived in near vicinity and spooked them.
