No there isn’t
Until there is mass starvation, lack of jobs…..no one is doing anything. Folks on the right are generally responsible folks taking care of their family. No one is going to rock the boat and risk losing that.

If Texas wants to be in charge of its own border, then it should be in charge of its own disasters.
If that's the case then Texas needs to do away with any Federal Taxes.

Sure, but that means their federal income taxes should be mostly diverted to the state.
I'm absolutely for Texas passing a law that citizens and corporations remit all Federal taxes to the State Treasurer.
The State will collect at Federal taxes from its citizens and then have a discussion with Fedgov about conditions of its payment.

You are one stupid motherfricker.

Yes, because those scenarios are the same. You have to be deliberately stupid to think that these 2 scenarios are a good comparison.

All to well.
It funds state disasters, but not nearly as good as we fund Ukraine.

Fedgov made it pretty clear Texas want allowed to handle it's own borders so uh...they pay taxes for this, where's the actual benefit? At this point Texas might as well be independent, then they could at least defend their southern border.

Texas pressed the federal government to do its job in securing the border. Biden refused, so Texas is spending its own resources to fill the gap.
Biden pulling fema money -which Texans pay in to - is another example of this administration punishing Texas and abdicating its responsibilities.

Look at the mixed message.
There isn’t t a mixed message.
Texas is just simply highlighting the disdain that the Dems in DC have for America.

Exactly why Texas should tell fedgov to keep its money and completely frick off, then secede.

I’m not a fan of all the BS Texit type shite, but the feds take income tax money from Texans, Oil and Gas revenue from Texas, corporate taxes, etc., so Texas as paid into the system that was set up for FEMA relief. FJB for paying politics with this shite. BTW they royally F’d Hawaii too.

they pay taxes for this
It’s tantamount to taxation without representation.
Texas is just a bigger St. George at this point.

Without FEMA money, somebody else will have to pay more.
Insurance companies will be forced to defend more claim offerings (as they should, those crooked bastards).
Local governments will have to be creative in seeking funding from other sources to repair infrastructure damages.
Eventually, electricity rates will increase. Insurance costs will increase. Taxes will increase.
Thanks Biden Administration for playing politics with the Federal Emergency Management Administration. I predict this will end when the Democrat politicians in Houston start crying for Federal recovery money.
I'm sure Ted Cruz' opponent isn't too happy about this either.

Right. Look at the message. Fed govt is directly responsible for causing the disaster at the border. These people weren’t pouring in over the border under Trump. Not until the vegetable signed a bunch of executive orders. Then does absolutely nothing about it. Filed suit against Texas when they tried to do something about it.
And now a natural disaster hits and once again Fed govt is doing nothing.
That’s the message I’m seeing.

Should've framed it in terms of all the illegal immigrants and transgenders impacted and President Hair Sniffer would've authorized it indefinitely.

Governor Abbott is on an economic development trip to Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. While he's out of the country, Dan Patrick is the Acting Governor (though they have stayed in touch).
