So, a natural god-made disaster by way of a severe weather event that can't be avoided is the same as the federal government completely failing on border control and flooding Texas and the U.S. with illegals and Texas stepping up to do the job the the Federal government should be doing, by law, but isn't?

Why should federal tax dollars from people not in Texas go to Texas? This is why fedgov needs to be downsized. Welfare, disaster relief, education, etc should all be funded and handled at the state level not federal levels. Fedgov was intended to be small and limited and only serve to pass federal law, regulate commerce, infracyure development, foreign policy and maintain a national defense.
Regardless, if we are going to have FEMA, I think it should be reserved for real bad disasters like Katrina, April 27 tornado outbreak, etc. The ones that are just absolutely devastating. I’m not sure a 75mph Cat 1 hurricane is really damaging enough to justify federal involvement but that’s just my opinion. But I’m not defending Biden because it’s obvious this was for politics not fiscal conservatism so Biden is still a POS
