The Texas should keep all of the federal taxes its residents pay to DC.

I know the feds take a lot more of my money throughout the year than the state of Louisiana or local parishes do. Even if you combine property tax, state / local sales tax, and state income tax

Maybe they should have Hawaii fill them in.

That's cool as long as Sanctuary cities get treated the same way, but I bet you wouldn't care for that.

Most of the time. Just not this time....

If this was a true argument, your premise would be childlike and churlish, at best.

It's not an argument. That would be a waste of time.

The citizens of Texas fund FEMA

The citizens of Texas also fund CBP/DHS/DOJ/etc., and are paying on top of that to do the job those entities won't do because of this administration's intentional choice not to enforce immigration law.

The point you're trying to make is dumb.

Now, I do think it'd be awesome if Texas and Florida got to the point where they genuinely didn't need federal assistance and then started telling their citizens they didn't have to contribute x, y, and z in federal taxation as a result. But that's just because it would advance the balkanization cause/bluff, not because I think it's necessary for ideological consistency.

Your terms are acceptable. Let them also be in charge of their own economy, released from all federal oversight and regulations, relieved of federal tax burden, and wholly independent and sovereign.

Then, watch how many surrounding states join the Texas Union. That's a good idea, boss!

No there isn’t

Until there is mass starvation, lack of jobs…..no one is doing anything. Folks on the right are generally responsible folks taking care of their family. No one is going to rock the boat and risk losing that.

If what we've seen the last few years continues,
there will be a response from the right. When, what, and how, that response occurs...... I don't pretend to know. I hope it never comes to this.
If it does, eventually... there will be a response.

If they’d like Texas have full control of border with NO US Government interference, they should accept these terms.

Fedgov does less for Texas than it does for Ukraine.

Not a chance any sober, coherent decisions should be made while Joe Biden occupies the White House. Imagine him being the reason Texans lose their US citizenship.

While Biden and his administration is a POS, the Hurricane was a CAT 1 when it made landfall... Is TX infrastructure that bad?

Stupid. It’s not solely their border.

It’s the US border and the Texas border. Texas is will to defend it. Biden isn’t.
