If a state like Texas elected Talarico, the nation will elect a candidate as ridiculous as Kamala in a landslide.

The Democrat party is about to learn that they've really stepped in it by enjoining the DSA. They don't know it yet, but the Democrat party as they know it is dead. I dont know if they have time to run an absolute socialist for President, but it's coming sooner than I thought. Moderate Dems have a decision to make. Rats off of a sinking ship or become a slave to the DSA.

I mean, a Republican has no shot at this point. Did Tuesday not prove that?

Almost as if it were planned that way.

This will not end well for Democrats.

We need to lick our wounds and use this time in the wilderness to plot our next move.

the first time both parties will have legitimate primary elections at the same time since 2016.

Back that up to 2008, Dems haven't had a legitimate primary since then. 2016, 2020, and 2024 (lolol) Dem primaries all involved backroom dealing of various degree to ensure the "desired" candidate was selected.

If the 2016 Dem primary had been above board, Bernie Sanders most likely would've been the Dem candidate and may very well have won over Trump.

Bad news for the DSAs: There aren’t enough of them to matter. The Dems won too big.

Hakeem shouldn't be Speaker anyway.

The best description of I've ever seen of Jeffries is someone on Twitter who said "Democrats said we want another Obama and the DNC said no. We have Obama at home"

The disaster that may befall us from aggressively taxing people like Bezos, Zuck, and Musk and using that revenue to fund things that will benefit average people would be unbelievable.
Advocating for stealing from the rich because of your own envy and jealousy is indicative of how soft and weak the people of this country have become. If you want what they have, earn it. Nobody is stopping you from starting your own version of Amazon or SpaceX.

The last place those funds would be used is to help average Americans. Sure, it will help illegals and be used in foreign countries to launder back to politicians, but it will not be used to help Americans. Probably what you are advocating for anyway.

An agency like ICE that has been around since Washington was President is an indispensable pillar of our democracy.
If we don't control illegal immigration, then we don't have a democracy. Letting people stay in the country illegally and decide our elections based on the interests of foreign nations is not democracy.

And cutting off aid to poor, impoverished Israel?
Trump has already worked out a deal with Netanyahu to cut off aid and move to a transactional relationship at the end of this year.

You sound like a pussy.

Fascinating how all that stands between these retards and the retarded republicans that decided to nail themselves up on a cross this election cycle is one Donald J Trump. Thread after thread they blame him, but they still need daddy standing on that wall and they know it.

Remember that you dumb fricks. When the Dems abolish the filibuster, he’s all you have left. The bitch arse repubs can’t save you now.

Still amazed that Hillary lost in 2016, Biden gets the most votes of all time in 2020, and after spending $1.5 billion dollars to try and run worst candidate of all time they still lost in 2024.

American's saw what happened during Covid just 6-years ago and overwhelmingly made the decision 'yep, please give us more of that.'

Americans gonna get the government they deserve.

I expected Schumer to be pushed out

Writers at the WSJ seem to think this is his time to shine.

WSJ

quote:

The Associated Press had projected that Democrats would succeed in their long-shot effort to win back control of the Senate—and not just by flipping a few seats, but by flipping at least seven.

“Is this a night?!” the jubilant Senate minority leader asked as he greeted journalists and staffers in a courtyard of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee near Capitol Hill late Tuesday night. “Oh man! Wow, wow, wow!”

In the spring of last year, progressives and activists had bombarded the 75-year-old New York Democrat with calls to resign and primary threats after he voted with a small group of other senators who caucus with Democrats to keep the government open. The backlash was so profound that Schumer had to postpone a planned book tour because of security concerns. He was cast by progressive critics as too old-school and out of touch with voters consumed with anger at President Trump.

Now, after two risky government shutdowns and—as Schumer put it—“against all odds,” he made clear he expects to be re-elected as Senate Democrats’ leader in the next Congress, this time in the majority. Democrats will have at least 54 seats in the next Senate, with Alaska and Mississippi still too close to call.

On Wednesday morning, he posted a photo of himself cooking on his backyard grill, with photos of defeated Republicans among the hot dogs and burgers.
It goes on.
You raise a very good point. I don't know if the DSA-types have the numbers to form an effective caucus of sorts. That they are simply demanding things doesn't mean much.

I hope the GOP shares your assessment of the current political climate.

Like I said, an integral part of American democracy since the founding of our great nation. If not for the brave men and women of ICE we'd have been overrun 200 years ago.

So you agree with the DSA that cutting off aid to Israel is a good thing? Good to know.

There are 5 of them out of 338 members of Congress, as in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
