Do they really think the sitting state AG won’t appear?
They said they have indicted her on 16 counts. If this is really over that legal opinion letter, then
Liz and Landry are going to go scorched earth over this and it’s gonna be glorious to watch.
The amount of indictments of public officials involved in this is gonna be funny as frick
The Dems down there are suppose to wait and do this when they are in power. They shot their shot way to early
As the saying goes, “Everybody’s a cowboy until the bull turns around”

Meanwhile the State is going broke and still subsidizing the corruption in NOLA
If this state didn't have New Orleans it would be a worse back water shithole state with nothing.

Obviously a silly statement you’re responding to, but he said subsidizing corruption… which is statewide

Has there ever been a politician in LA that wasn't a crook?
I've heard Dave Treen wasn't, but I was just a kid at that time
Same here. To a kid Treen seemed a real stick-up-the-arse type compared to the flamboyant Edwards but adult LA voters have also always found good government boring. Roemer seemed honest as well but unwilling to use the great dick-swinging powers of a southern governor.
And possibly Blanco? Her ineptitude in the aftermath of Katrina overshadows every other aspect of her term, but was she a crook?

The only thing worth anything to the state down there now is the port.

Obviously a ridiculous ask, but I’d love your breakdown of the worth of other LA cities

An Orleans Parish grand jury has indicted Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill
If only they moved as quickly to address real issues that are destroying Orleans Parish.

I'm not a democrat, but I personally think it's a terribly egregious move to do this right after voters had cast their ballot. It stinks.
They did it specifically as retribution because Landry and Murrill got their panties in a wad when Duncan called them out. They couldn’t handle being called out for a wrongful conviction and wouldn’t admit they were wrong. That’s all this boils down to.

Fast Eddie would have handled that mess sooo much better. His boys would have needed cotton trailers to haul off all the federal money they stole but it would have gone a lot better.

I'd love to hear these charges.

Exactly. Since she hasn’t seen a judge yet, how does she have a bond set? Shitty reporting
Some charges have default bond amounts so that people can quickly bond out prior to appearing before a judge. A judge can revise the bond amount during a hearing.
