Is a net gain of 700K usually considered a good thing on an annual basis?
It depends. Were people that needed to have multiple jobs to afford Biden's inflation able to drop their side gig creating a "lost job"? Were part time positions converted to full time positions? How many government positions were eliminated to bring down the total jobs number?
We've been told for years that the average age of the workforce keeps getting older and people needed to work later into life. Were they able to retire finally and the position got eliminated? I would say doing away with a Walmart greeter because they didn't need to work anymore and not replacing them isn't a bad thing.

borrowed $696 billion. That included $94 billion in January alone, and works out to an average of $43.5 billion for each of the 16 weeks of the four months since.
Fake news. Everyone knows there are 17 weeks in a 4 month period, so it's only $40.94 billion per week. /s
I'm not sure why the author calls out January when it's below the 4 month average of $174B. Doing the math, October - December would have averaged over $200B per month.
January probably had above average collections with Quarterly tax estimates due.

I know you said you didn't want to deal with Costco, but I got a split king sleep science with adjustable base. You can flip the mattress to choose between 2 firmness options. Been great.

I think Roblox does something like this. Estimates an age range based on a picture. Same person can get different results based on the scan

re: We will find out soon if basketball is important to the LSU admin
Posted by CubsFanBudMan on 2/8/26 at 9:31 am to LSUfan2008
It's not LSU, it's the donors. If the donors don't approach the AD with checks and a plan, nothing will happen. Do the major donors have the appetite for another buyout this academic year? Are there enough basketball only donors to foot the bill?
New House Rs
Posted by CubsFanBudMan on 2/7/26 at 10:37 am
With all of Rs not running for re-election and the new R leaning districts, at least 15% of the caucus could be new. How do we keep the swamp from filling those spots?

Didn't listen, did he list what he doesn't like? I don't like all of the fraud that's eating away at my tax dollars. I don't like many other things.
That being said, you don't bitch about your country on the worldwide stage. You put your best foot forward and enjoy the Olympic spotlight. Promote your sport and hope that increases your revenue stream.

Easy way to shut these women up. Tell them you're tired of innocent girls and women being raped and killed by people in this country illegally. Why aren't you standing up for these women? Bet those videos won't get posted.

St George is doing something similar, On Scene Services, for $1.5M. They have 10 employees and hours are 6am-10pm.

Bill Cassidy polling attack strategy for JL

Just got done with a phone survey about the LA Senate race. Lone story short, the last round of questions asked if you were told the following things about Julia Letlow, would you be more likely or less likely to vote for her or would it have no impact. Statements tried to link her to Nancy Pelosi, insider stock trading, and DEI hires. I answered no impact to each statement.

2 fleas decided to meet up in Daytona. Flea 1 looks at flea 2, all bruised up and says damn, you look like hell. How did you get here? Flea 2 responded he clung to the mustache of a guy on a motorcycle. Flea 1 explains, you need to go into the women's restroom and climb on her bush. That's a great idea, I'll try that next year.
Following year flea 2 shows up all bruised up again. Flea 1 asked, why didn't you take my advice? Flea 2, I did, and I still ended up on the mustache of a biker.

This is not how I understand it to work. The way I understand it to work is you rank as many as you want. If no candidate has 50% ranked as #1, you take the candidate with the fewest 1s and eliminate them and the people that had them ranked 1 would have their #2 elevated. You continue the process until someone reaches majority.
In theory, if there were 7 Rs on the ballot and 1 D, and the population was 51% R, you would avoid a runoff between the top R and the D. Might have kept John Bel out of governorship. What happens in a state like Alaska is that you get a split on the 1s, but a RINO incumbent is the overwhelming 2, the RINO gets reelected.
re: Shouldn't the targeting penalty been addressed after the Devin White fiasco
Posted by CubsFanBudMan on 1/28/26 at 9:41 am to nicholastiger
I've said for years there needs to be 2 levels, accidental, no ejection, flagrant = ejection. The rule has been in high school long enough that by the time they get to college they know better, and there aren't many of what I would deem flagrant in college anymore.
NFL has the ability to fine players for flagrant fouls, so ejections aren't part of their rules. Maybe college needs to start fines.

You assume it's getting negative feedback because that's what the MSM wants you to think. The silent majority approves. Who knows, this show of force might increase self-deportations.
re: Apologies to WBB, but the LSU baseball team deserves a bigger percentage of rev. share
Posted by CubsFanBudMan on 1/23/26 at 2:53 pm to Covingtontiger77
Crazy thought here, but if it's called revenue share, shouldn't it be based on the total revenue generated by sport and not the profit/loss of the sport? WBB brings in more revenue than BB. There are other avenues for BB players to make money than just rev share.
