Shoulder if the deer is within 100 yards. Double lungs past 100.

Ok I did
Not where I ever aim. Not enough room for error.

mid body 1-2 ribs behind shoulder for every deer at every distance if broadside. If quartered adjust appropriately.

I shoot most of them in the neck with a .243, both of which are very popular on this board. Going to shoot a couple more that way this weekend. I did shoot one double lung this year for shits and giggles.

If I had to make it a sentence, put the bullet in somewhere in the ribs and out somewhere close to the other side front leg.
Don't think too hard about it.

Either one. Both shots give you a dead deer. One drops and the other isn't going farther than 100yds. Dead is dead though.
I shot mine in the neck this year. I meant to shoot him behind the shoulder but as soon as he turned broadside he was starting to trot into the woods. I had my scope zoomed in too far so as soon as my cross hairs touched brown I shot. Saw the belly flop and I knew instantly it was a neck shot because he went stiff. Shoulder shots look like they crumble to the ground.

Double lung behind the shoulder, most room for error.

Right behind the front shoulder. Aim for the line that is the back of the front leg. Don't waste meat and they will be dead.

Center mass... double lung every time.

Hunters that cant hit where they aim need to practice more. Shitty shooters from lack of practice make unethical hunters.
Posted on 1/7/21 at 9:12 pm to EveryoneGetsATrophy
I don't care how much you practice, you get past 150 shite can happen. Deer can move as you're pulling the trigger (especially the neck), big gust of wind, a slightly irregular bullet etc.
Don't pretend otherwise.

If you don’t want to shoot the neck (just shoot the damn neck) here’s a good video that explains where the vitals and bones are and how to aim accordingly from different angles. Whoever said imagine the path of the bullet through the vitals is correct, this will help with visualization.
