re: Tomorrow is opening day of muzzleloader in AR. - Yukon7
First year on this lease, lots of deer but the bucks definitely need some protein . I haven’t seen anything yet with nice mass like the one you have. Lots of tall and wide racks but skinny bones. I’ll probably end up shooting 4 does and 1 buck if the right one comes out . [img]https://i.imgur.com/e7...

That’s a hard angle to age. But if i had to guess, 3-1/2 maybe 4-1/2. Chest doesn’t look pronounced ....

re: Decided to get into deer recovery/blood tracking (new pup) 10/12 update (First recovery) - Yukon7
Reba did her very first live track last night. She decided to start her tracking career with a buck named Showtime. At 7 pm i got the text. Left my stand and went get Reba. I told her it was Showtime and it was her turn to shine! A dog wasn’t quite needed , there was plenty of blood to follow. But ...

re: Bicep Surgery Timeframe before Shooting a Bow/rifle again - Yukon7
Update. I had surgery on 8/31 and now 5 weeks post op. Doing really good with range of motion, should be out of brace in a week or two. No pulling back a compound bow until March, so i went ahead and purchased a Crossbow for this season. A friend of mine let me use his final rest to prop it up o...

re: Shoulder mount prices - Yukon7
Last 2 deer I had done were 350 (in 2010) by a guy who just does it on the side. And 525 by a professional (in 2019). He went up to 635 this year, I'm going to be looking a new taxidermist. 400-550 is about the norm and what I'm willing to pay. While I noticed a small difference between the qual...

I’m surprised that insurance companies don’t assist in the cost of cutting trees down, could save them a lot more money down the road. Obviously there should be limits such as age of tree, condition of tree, distance from house, etc....

re: Bicep Surgery Timeframe before Shooting a Bow/rifle again - Yukon7
I have an MRI in the morning to determine extent of damage. If tendon disconnect from bone then it will be an easy surgery. If tendon is torn, a little more complicated. If muscle is torn, then not worth doing surgery. Basically said what everyone else said, I’m out for 6 months. I’ll be able to ...

re: Bicep Surgery Timeframe before Shooting a Bow/rifle again - Yukon7
I can shoot left handed free handed. Although I’ve only did that with hogs about 5 times to practice. I’ve thought about it. My lock-ons are out of the question. But my box blinds are only 4 ft high so i could easily get some steps and just walk in. Anxious to see what dr has to say tomorrow ...

re: Bicep Surgery Timeframe before Shooting a Bow/rifle again - Yukon7
It really isnt painful. Just limited right now because of swelling/inflammation. I did see that alot of people do not do the surgery. But you have to be ok with losing 40-60% of the strength in your arm. Im not ok with that, Especially since its my dominant arm. ...

Bicep Surgery Timeframe before Shooting a Bow/rifle again - Yukon7
I had a complete distal tear of my bicep yesterday. What time frame can i expect for full recovery to shoot a bow again? I know i'm out for the beginning of the season, but is it too much to expect to be shooting rifle by December and bow again in January? May even buy a cross bow for early season i...
