I shoot the hornady SST in 130 out of my .270 because the gun loves them. I’ve never had an issue, but feel it’s only a matter of time based on these stories I keep reading on here.

My browning a bolt loves 130 grain ballistic silver tips. Sub moa all day long.

That’s the thing. The accuracy is the best of any round I’ve ever shot. The old school Corelockts are a time tested bullet, but my rifle scatters them all over the paper. My experience is limited bc of all the neck shots over the years, but when I see that rack, I’m going body shot. I’ll have to mess around in the off-season at the range to evaluate alternatives.
